HE SUCKS. I’m not sure how this team didn’t see last year for reference. He should not be playing at all. |

He’s washed. Done.
It’s one thing not have the same explosion, it’s another to lose rebound battles and constantly get cooked. |

Drummond would’ve been better than DJ, at least Drummond would get some rebounds.
DJ is just dead weight standing on the court. _________________ |

Can't see the game, is he at least getting position and keeping bigs away from the rebounds so his guys get them? If he's really washed and continues this way they may have to eventually sign a big as 15 and release Reaves if they find a good buyout player. They're all in, including needing a 2nd big to keep AD fresh. They just can't afford to only have Howard. Really wanted Milsap. |

This dude is a waste of a roster spot. Was getting cooked by Millsap and LMA last game too. _________________ If Brandon Knight were to come out, I would take him number 1 in the draft. - Magic Johnson Mar 27, 2011

DJ looks as bad as I remember from the last couple of seasons. Hopefully he either shows a pulse or he doesn’t play much. |

Silver lining? More points and boards in limited minutes than Gasol was giving us. |

Marc Gasol’s corpse is a better and more intelligent player than DJ. _________________ If Brandon Knight were to come out, I would take him number 1 in the draft. - Magic Johnson Mar 27, 2011

The backups DJ was supposed to be guarding aka JaVale and Kaminsky ran him over for 21 points to his measly 6. At least Gasol was a + on the floor just from his spacing.
What I really don’t like about DJ these 2 games was he looks lethargic, no energy, like he’s either bored or tired. It’s like he just woke up from a nap. _________________ |

Jordan has to play literally a token starting C role. For the RS. 6 minutes one half. 8 minutes another. At most. I can't see how he would fail at such little expectation. He is going to understand some of the concepts we run on D. And where to be on offense. And DAJ is 100% reliant on others creating shots for him. Without Westbrook/Bron, DAJ's offense is even more useless. Once you have Bron/Westbrook, he can get some open looks. We will see that.
Not sure about the playoffs, he could just be a guy that we use for 6 hard fouls. And a big body. Insurance. Not sure he will play. RS wise though, I do not get this entire perspective of hating this dude before he even plays any games with Westbrook/Bron. We have to give him some time to show if he can figure out some ways to get looks at the rim. And if he can figure out the defensive anchor role in Vogel's system. This will take some patience from us.
The whole Gasol/Drummond thing, was vastly different, IMO. One, totally different team this year with Westbrook at the PG vs Dennis. Much more playmaking/passing ability. Second, we isolated and gave Dre the ball a lot more than we ever will DAJ. DAJ is going to be a very low usage guy, whose main job will be to set some good screens and get open/good looks in the paint off feeds from RW/Bron. |

He looked good tonight. 22 min, 10 pts, 9 rebs, 2 stls, +2 (3rd highest on team) _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Good example yesterday when we get AD in, with two playmakers like RW and Bron, then you have bigs like Dwight/DAJ. You will feast inside against teams like Warriors.
This is not going to be our only strategy, but just one of the two main ones. We are a better team if we can play AD effectively at the 4 AND 5, in a game, vs exclusively on one position. |

6 fouls, 75% on dunks, an occasional block and a handful of boards. Not bad for the minimum and 10-15 minutes per night. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

His defense last night was great, he was closing out on shooters and did a helluva job, I can’t believe some people treat this guy like he’s a bum, I’m gonna enjoy watching him prove people wrong this year. |

Last night he had 12 points and 11 rebounds in 15 minutes. He was +14 (second-best on the team) _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

He’s had a few good performances during this preseason, this isn’t anything new, maybe McGee would have been better for us at the C position, but DJ isn’t some broken glass like some make him out to be. |

Yeah, I agree with that. One thing I don't miss is McGee making incredibly low bbiq plays that I saw him still making in the pre-season even. It's pretty much a toss up for either of those guys but just like in 2019 we'll be counting the minutes until he gets subbed out in both halves when he starts. He'll have some good games for sure with all the playmakers we have now regardless and if he can help limit penetration a bit to start games i'm good with it for the regular season in limited minutes. |

DJ has played two solid games in a row after a rocky start. He is playing about as well as expected averaging 5.3 pts (85%FG), 5.3 rebs, +0.
Last night Jordan came off the bench and scored 8 points on 4-of-4 shooting, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal.
