Hayes is a 3rd C on a good team. Lively is a major piece on a Finals team.

Yes I agree with the overall point that Hayes did fine for a vet min player as well as a 15 minute rotation option at the 5 - especially in the 2nd half of the season. At that price point it will be difficult to find someone who can do significantly better. |

Given the new CBA Agreement, the focus of getting Hurley as the next HC, pitfalls of buying stars (Lakers, Suns, Bucks, Clips, etc) and the success of OKC, Nuggets, Grizzs, Mavs (w/Lively), Spurs (upcoming success) - Rob and Jeanie are navigating a new path for long-standing success. |

Given the success of the current and fast-rising NBA powers and the failures of teams from the Clips to the Suns and others (along with their interest in Hurley) - Hayes could be a part of their plan
