For me last night was a low point as a Laker fan. I started watching in 1979. It starts at the top and bleeds all the way down to the players. Watching what are supposed to be two veteran superstars go at fans for calling them out for their piss poor efforts was hard to watch. Watching our owner get up and desert the team at halftime was equally as sad. It was like a captain deserting a sinking ship. I am not sure where we go from here, or if this is even a repairable situation with Jeanie in charge.

it wasn't good, but as has been posted, jeanie frequently leaves early whether going into the back or home. We don't expect owners of other teams to be there.

Buss can’t be happy with the way these losers are playing.

If the fans are this distraught, how do you think their owner feels?

I was there last night and sit close enough to see her pretty close. She was looking uncomfortable. I was too. I took a friend for his first game there and then this game happened. If I felt bad how does she feel?!

Why was she THERE, like, right in front of the Lakers bench, instead of up in her penthouse where owners usually are. I contend that she wanted to make her presence, and early exit, well known to the Lakers team, including the coaching staff. Maybe she wanted to hear how the players are conversing to each other, what the coaches are saying, and how they are saying it. Maybe she wanted to see who is trying, who is checked out, who is frustrated, who is thinking of Cancun. Whatever it is, she deliberately sat across from that Lakers bench.

Those are her regular seats. She always sits there. My season tix are pretty close to her

Yeah, I got caught up in people wanting to make things up just to stir up drama. That's typical LA Lakerland stuff.

Rams and Dodgers operate like true big market LA.

It’s time to sell, Jeanie. You simply can’t hang in the modern professional sports environment.

This isn’t just about luxury tax either. It’s the non-cap operations. The basketball ops is severely lacking from executives to coaches to trainers. Cheap move after cheap move.

She’s lucky scouting department is still strong, but all those assets are wasted for Klutch.

exactly, don't let the big names fool you. Jeannie Buss has been cutting corners from head coach down to the medical training staff. why we settled with Vogel instead of Mounty Williams or Ty Lue? why is it only the Lakers provides no clear cut timeline on an injured player's prognosis and return schedule? Clippers may not beat lakers in popularity, but all the younger generation of players and kids growing up can care less about the Laker tradition, they want to work for the richest owners with the deepest pockets and biggest perks.

She led the Lakers to a Championship 1½ years ago.

I want more Jeanie Buss.

She could depower Linda and Kurt Rambis.
She could stop being petty towards Jerry West.
She could have kept Mitch.
She could have kept Ryan West.
She could have not intentionally sabotaged her Brother's free agency pitches.
She could have accepted that Phil was whom everyone told her he was.
She could have stopped being petty by now.

There's a lot of things she could have done, but didn't. So she isn't the one that needs to start acting like she doesn't have a hand in this.

At some point, she has to realize that the way that we are playing is not the franchise that belongs to her family and has to make some drastic changes. I dont see what's stopping her from taking action now. At the very least she should come on the radio shows (as she's done before) and calmn laker nation down.

she aint gonna do {don't bypass the filter. alph} because she's running out of ex-laker to turn to. Phil, Rambis, byron scott, Puke Walton were all old news, and i doubt james worthy wants step a foot into this mess.

problem with jeannie is she's treating this as me against the world type of things. she's so sensitive, every bit of criticism would send her spinning. this is also why people around her take advantage of this and move up in the ranks as long as they tell her they're on her side.

I met her at the UCLA book festival in 2009, took a picture wit her, very nice in person. Also she went to the same HS as I did (Palisades). Best I can say now is that we just gotta hope she acts sooner or later.

through previous business, I am really really close with her besty.and the real kicker, I have had lunch with them twice at SOL in playa vista. I got more but by the sounds of some of these posts there are even others closer to her.

Anyway, without Jeanie and her pettiness + decision making.

Jerry West would be back in the FO as a consultant.
Ryan West would still be here.
The FO would have told the fans to embrace the rebuild.
We'd have likely landed LaMarcus Aldridge in Free Agency
Jerry Buss's promise to Jerry West would have been fulfilled(the lifetime tickets).
Linda and Kurt Rambis wouldn't be making or forcing decisions.
We'd have Tyronn Lue or Monty Williams as our coach.
Magic wouldn't have been empowered beyond 'advisor' and we wouldn't have traded away some of our pieces for nothing as a result of that.
LeBron would have still come.

[Harrison Faigen]The Lakers are currently reporting 97.6% attendance. Outside of last year (full covid season), the team has not reported lower than 99% since 2015 (98.3%). The last time the team was below 98% before this season was 2006.

Congratulations, Jeanie!

You could also add the clippers of today wouldn't be this "championship juggernaut" that some LGers foolishly gush about on a daily.

Kawhi doesn't sign there without Jerry telling him the dysfunctional Lakers are trash

Jerry had to buy KL family member a house to sign. Plus did KL want to play with bron? AAAAnd thank goodness we didn't pay KL 100Mil. he plays less than AD and unlike AD's injuries his are actually degenerative.

The thing with Jim is, the Lakers were in a rebuild. The fans refused to believe that because they had this false thought in their mind that the Lakers were above rebuilding while at the same time refreshing Tankathon whenever we lost a game.
