Accepting the Lakers head coaching position after seeing what they did to Vogel three years straight, having Rambis and Rich Paul over you, and accepting a below market deal to deal with an aging LeBron.
Sounds more like a Byron Scott type situation. Mark Jackson (Klutch) seems in point for our front office.

A trash hire like Mark Jackson sounds like a move we'd make after what we've seen the last couple of Seasons. If the current roster stayed in tact that could be my most disliked roster of my lifetime and will no doubt be another failed year or two. Him or Byron Scott would just be the nail in the coffin at this point and I could do nothing but laugh.
It's sad how low we were right before Bron came aboard then completely gutted it all and got all the way back to the mountain top and won a Championship with people commenting about how great our culture was and we had a defensive identity.
To only a little over a calendar year later and we're the laughing stock of the entire NBA and talking about possibly hiring Mark Jackson
We already let two good coaches (Ty Lue and Monty Williams) slip away because our owner is counting pennies.
Then hired Frank Vogel and the man couldn't even choose his own assistants.
Monty Williams going to the Suns wasn't about money. The Suns made an offer before the Lakers did and Monty decided to take the offer that was available.
Monty Williams makes it clear: He didn’t choose Suns over Lakers
“(The Lakers) didn’t make me an offer. Mr. Sarver made me an offer. It wasn’t even a part of my thinking. I had conversations with the Lakers. They were really gracious and I was really humbled to sit down and talk to (owner) Ms. Buss and that whole crew but it never came down to that."
Vogel will be fired as a scapegoat. Not because he's a bad coach. As for a new HC, just go thru the list of ex-Lakers. Maybe Kurt Rambis will return to coaching and become our salvation.
I dont know what yawl talking about...smh. its going to be AKA LEGM.. King James is going to be your coach on top of your talent evaluator on top of your GM...its been working so far right? lol
Leave Vogs alone for now & fire the FO and let the new executive branch decide what to do about our coaching.
Personally I would like to see Vogs demoted to lead chair/DC and send Rob/Kurt packing. _________________ Not familiar with the salary cap/CBA rules & how it impacts our Lakers?

I know it will not happen (because this franchise is spiraling downward), but Jay Wright would be a great hire. Vogel got too much credit for our championship (as diluted as it was) and he is getting too much blame now.

I believe it's a certainty that Vogel will be fired ... like the guy but he caught lightening in a bottle.
Looking at the NBA landscape I think a guy like Kenny Atkinson should get another shot.
That pre-KD Nets team that he got into the playoffs was impressive.
He's spent the past 2 years w/the Clippers and now GSW. Working and observing how Kerr and Lue handle star players should be a big game changer for him.
I'd like to give him a shot.
Called this back in February. Finally Lakers interview Atkinson.
