So true. Markieff with the brain fart was inexcusable - not recognizing the amount of time left on the clock, not recognizing having LBJ open on the right wing. He could have taken the shot, but instead made the worst play in trying to lob to a guy who wasn't even calling for it.
The moment was too big for them. Got to learn from it moving forward. |

We lost the game because the closing line was confused and unorganized. I lay the blame for this loss at the feet of Vogel. Rondo should be in as a closer.
This team is terrible in close games. AD's buzzer beat against Denver was more luck than skill. I'm not comfortable when we don't have a good lead.
I'm like a windshield wiper when it comes to Vogel. Sometimes he's Red Auerbach others, John Calipari. I still want TY Lue.
JUST A REMINDER

I couldn’t even bring myself to read this until 2am Sunday morning. I just had to step away from thinking about basketball for awhile. That was the type of game we always win, but we lost somehow. So many 3’s that we’re just clanking all game long, if even one goes in we win. |

Thanks DB. Another spot-on T&R. "Excruciating" sums it up perfectly.
Some people want to take that shot with the clock running out and the game on the line to win an NBA title. We have several players on this team willing to take that shot.
If only that ball coulda wound up in one of their hands.
Win the next one Lakers. |
