Guessing LeBron would prefer the Lakers give his son a roster spot rather than have him on a two-way. Add that we will have Knecht, Lewis, JHS and possibly Max, that's five roster spots on "non-vets". Not sure there's space for another rookie, hence not buying a 2nd rounder.

It does set a narrative that he had to drop to the Lakers vs. we reached. Just a thought.

That makes a lot of sense…

Don’t get it twisted. Other teams wanted Bronny. The lakers tried to trade up to make sure they got him, but nobody was willing to deal. Luckily Rich Paul came in and saved the day by threatening each team individually not to take him.

Let’s hope he is some type of lock down defender and knock down 3 point shooter in a few seasons. Maybe pit in some work on his handle and be a PG

Honestly who is more deserving of a roster spot in the NBA?

Giannis brother
Lebron’s son

The majority of how many people got to where they are is because of their last names. Let’s not get it twisted.

Hollywood for example is FULL of Nepo babies. None of them care how they got there, the fact is, they are there, and that’s all that matters.

If he is on the court and he sucks, he is going to hear so much (bleep) talk from these young NBA players.

A little different than other jobs where you won't get trash talked to your face day to day at work

I don’t know about that. Even in my current workplace, we hear A LOT of crap from my co-workers about our current operations manager being a nepo baby to the current CEO.

Jamal Shead is still there. If you want a Patrick Beverly type dog at guard, he should stick in the league

Hopefully Bronny develops into that at least

Should have just tried to steer Bronny to a good situation and not play with him his first few seasons in the league. Probably would have been better for his development.

LeBron is going to create a circus in the locker room with this.

To move up it probably would have taken 55+cash. If we trade 55 how can we draft Bronny?

So we're just gonna sit on $7M of cash or whatever it is?

Yup. Kid hasn't been on his own at all. Went to college at home, now 1st job with his dad.

It is going to be hard for him when LeBron retires.

So Bronny to the Lakers is essentially a lock. Bob Myers just said on ESPN that Rich Paul is calling teams and telling them that Bronny will go to Australia if they draft him.

Lol. Would be funny if the Lakers passed.

I would love that for the chaos. But then Lebron DEFINITELY, 100% leaves.

I'm just surprised Klutch isn't asking anyone (Lakers included) to draft him so they can both be FAs. That way he can leverage the Lakers to go all in or threaten to go to Philly with Bronny. I'm pretty sure undrafted free agents have a set contract but man he could get his kid paid if not. So ridiculous.

For this Calander year, it appears so.

Tor gets Shead.

Cam Christie is a guy that should have stayed in college, and transferred to a big school for huge NIL dollars. He’s giving up money by going into the 2nd round

McCullar is a great value pick for someone here.

Vet Min is what? like 1.8M? Not likely he would have got that much in NIL. The highest is 2mill.

There's not a lot left in the draft. You wanna buy anorher second,? That was last year. Trayce and Clark. We got Lewis. That stings. This year no worries.

I am not worried about wasting the #55th pick in a weak draft. My only concern is Bronny not willing to be on a 2 way. It makes fitting him into the 15 roster spots a little weird since we have other positions we need more.

Finding a decent Gabe trade could help balancing the roster.

2nd rd picks aren’t getting 1.8 m guaranteed

As of 2023–2024, NBA two-way contract salaries are $559,782, which is half of the rookie minimum. The salary is pro-rated based on the signing date during the season, and players can sign for up to two years. However, no more than $50,000 is guaranteed per season

Their stalking of the Lakers is just epic. It's almost creepy at this point.

(side note, we need to get SVG to add that layer )

Nobody's asked this yet but... Who will the Lakers invite to camp among the undrafted?
