I don't like Dallas' shot selection. They keep settling for 3-pointers when they should be attacking the paint early in the shot clock.

The Celtics have been keeping the window open for the Mavs by missing some shots, but the Mavs aren't taking advantage.

What? every extra game is a lot of extra money for the league and the league employs the refs so ofc the league would want as many games as possible and the refs do the league's bidding.

Refs' "calls" could only do so much. They could only alter the outcome of a close game. In a blowout game like this, no amount of favorable calls is going to change the outcome of the game.

Do you care if your boss makes more money and you don’t? The refs don’t get paid based on what the NBA makes. They are a separate group with their own union.

I thought the playoff referees made the same amount of money whether the series went 4 games or 7 games to remove the optics of a motivation for refs to extend the series. But I think that can induce the opposite motivation. They get paid the same either way, so wouldn’t they prefer to make the same amount of money for less work? Why would they want to get paid the same, to work harder so the league can make more money while they don’t make more?

What the (bleep) is wrong with Doncic? When he's cold, he's ice cold. Stop shooting.

Yea, I'm sure they have a pay structure where it doesn't motivate either scenario.

I don’t think that is possible. You have to motivate one or the other. The current pay structure actually motivates them to call a short series. They get paid the same regardless of series length. Human nature dictates that they want to get paid the same to work less.

Just end this series and get this miserable season over and done with. Not super excited about the JJ led Lakers next season but at least that's a new start

I mean, nobody is showing up for Dallas. Luka is probably like, "(bleep) it, if nobody else is going to show up, I'm not either." Luka is 25 years old; he still has a long way to go in this league. Finals exposure now is going to make this guy insane in the future.

Really looking forward to it. I'd like a sweep of Foston better. Don't need the extra excitement.

Watch Luka suddenly ‘get hot’ with the game out of reach in order to pad his #s and finish with a nice stat line.

Mavs are a disgrace and a joke. Easily one of the worst finals teams we've seen in years. And Kyrie? He deserves all the hate he'll be getting after this series. Boston could have beaten them blindfolded.

No, actually they aren’t. Last game they were were up ny 48 points but at home.
Reality is, they are who they are. Two great players and a bunch of bench guys.
Boston is NOT Dallas. They have roughly 5-6 solid players and a bench.

Not comparable.

So, no the Mavs aren’t pathetic, they are just who they are.
Not good enough.

Yup. Porzingis without giving up a FRP is also absurd.
