Detroit Pistons (5-16)@Los Angeles Lakers (17-6)
February 6, 2021 7:00 PM PST
Staples Center, Los Angeles, California
*Notes:
Since beating the Lakers 107-92 on January 28 at home, Detroit has lost three straight road games to Golden State, Utah and Phoenix. While Detroit is 1-10 in road games, the Lakers are only 5-4 at home.
Revenge game. They beat us on the last road trip. Tonight they are playing at Phoenix so we are catching them on the second game of a back-to-back. I like our chances. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

Yeah, thankfully they got a little loud in that win so that will be no doubt some extra motivation. I love our chances in this one, I don't see the Lakers letting them pull off another upset especially on there home floor now.
They need to take advantage of these next 4 home games especially and sweep them all to get ready for the Denver rematch and faceoff against the Nets.
The last game had nothing to do with the Pistons and everything to do with the Lakers being unmotivated and handing them the game.
That’s true but they were acting up as and showing up the Lakers. When you start feeling yourself as a team, you better be able to back it up.
So the Lakers did not show up, but at the same time tonight is a game where they should remind the Pistons of what they are...a terrible team that should shut up unless they want to lose by 30+ and get embarrassed.

Time for Blake Griffin to revert to 2012 Blake Griffin for one night again. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Did they? I don’t really remember but I don’t think I was paying close attention. I just remember the Lakers giving up and letting the pistons dunk it over and over in the final few minutes.
But going like 7 minutes without scoring or whatever it was, I don’t think the pistons defense was suffocating. I think that was all just the Lakers playing like trash.

Griffin was making smirks.
Ellington was making Tyler Herro type faces. Other dudes laughing it up. It was the Lakers fault for allowing it with not showing up...just saying tonight the Lakers should return the favor.
Anyway, in other league action. This is embarrassing

Generally when they don't say anything it means nothing changed.
No one was saying anything all day today and I was hooking up dinner just now so I was late posting
