Now now, be fair. All his previous injuries have been typical big man leg and foot stuff. This time is an probably a fluke injury and he's progressing nicely ( 🎥 https://twitter.com/kylegoon/status/1591147687872954368?s=46&t=TnoFtUdn4MdbtAbNb7szEg ) so cut a bro some slack lol

Not sure what the hold up.. But none shooting hand. Looks healthy enough. Suck it and play.

He and Dennis are going to be reevaluated and could be back available again as soon as November 18 vs Detroit. https://twitter.com/lakersreporter/status/1591246402834661376?s=46&t=qV_b1yhiX8K-KLlKOJ-pVA

I know, it’s nothing against him and it was a super low risk signing since it was a minimum deal but my expectations were just low based on his recent injury history.

Game changer.
Not that he's great.
But his fit is great.

I’m not quite sure how I got Damien Jones so wrong. He played really well in his first hit with the Lakers this time around not so much. It sure is good to have Thomas Bryant come back and play well.

He had his best stretch of games when he played next to Russ.

I just don't understand why coach Ham doesn't agree with you...it seems like the best plan...especially the way Gabriel is playing and how Bryant looked capable. I would even play those two together, Bryant/Gabriel, for a short stints when AD is taking a break.

Also, Troy Brown looks good enough to avoid those 3 or 4 guard line ups with him at SF instead of PF with more use of Gabriel at the PF. More use of Bryant at C allows AD to be at the 4 more often as well.

Hopefully we'll see more of it going forward and less of the 3 and 4 guard line-ups.

Definitely agree. I think in previous games when AD would contest a shot at the rim, the big man he left would get the rebound and often put it back for a dunk or layup which erases AD rim protection. And I think the Lakers are doing horrible in giving up offensive rebounds.

Last night I noticed when that happen Thomas Bryant would get be rebound preventing the offensive rebounds. That has to be noticed by the coach I am sure.

I saw him running on a FB with AD and WB and got a layup.

It will be interesting to see the FB run with 2 rim running bigs in AD and TB. Add in WB and/or LBJ and perhaps you have something

Very happy to see him back. I would be starting him at the 5 next to AD but he's doing well.

Very happy to see him back as well. I like him a lot and hope to see him start next to AD soon.

I mean I do GET IT atm just because we currently don’t have another decent backup center (Damien Jones I mean I come on ), but still, Bryant when utilized correctly provides proper spacing on offense and can work very well next to AD for his shot blocking.

Maybe if the Lakers call up Jay Huff and see if he can provide backup Center minutes? Then starting Thomas Bryant would be more than justified if Huff succeeded.

Bryant has been about as good as advertised in these first two games!

Only thing he needs to do that he hasn't is shoot well from 3-point range. But besides that, he's giving us exactly what we need at the 5.

Absolutely. I'm hoping that with more reps/burn the outside shot will begin to fall for him. Like it's done for the rest of the team.

I’m ok with Bryant not spending much time on the 3 point line atm. Now, when he sees and joker or embiid….let ‘em fly lol

He was feasting as a finisher. He's supposed to have a 3pt shot as well, I'd like to see him become a threat

It’ll hopefully come, though I’m happy to give him time to get comfortable in the rotation first

Healthy Bryant should kinda allow Rob to go get a shooter without burning all the assets, I mean Detroit don’t really need Bogdan
