Interesting seeing Max Christie up close. He's in that weird place where he's really good for the G League but borderline for the NBA.

In my opinion Huff is better than D. Jones.

Jones may be a little swifter but Huff is better all-around.

Jay Huff flirted with a triple-double and had a CAREER-HIGH in blocks tonight for the South Bay Lakers! He’s averaging 4.0 blocks so far this season.

Yeah he seems polished but the level is such that it's hard to tell if it will translate. I think he can be useful

good question, I mean if we're not using Swider at all, let Huff get the 2-way and have him audition couple reg games here and there

Shot blocking & rebounding usually translates, if nothing else. Eventually some team will give him a look.

Jay Huff could become a decent reserve center. Huff has potential as a rim protector (4.0 Blocks per game). He's also a solid rebounder.
However he needs to work on his strength, conditioning, foot-speed and reaction time.

Huff's is good at pick-and-pop in a small ball lineup. He has a nice touch from the top of the key.
But he has difficulty creating his own shot and gaining space.

IMO he'll eventually become a solid end of the bench depth piece somewhere in the league.

He can stretch, is his defensive coverage much worse than Jones?

Jones has better foot-speed than Huff but it's not really clear to me who's going to be more effective in actual NBA game situations (and matchups) given that both have various other weaknesses in their games.

Yep. C. Swider sustained a foot injury that sidelined him for a month.
He is now listed as: Game Time Decision
