Wow, a big home run swing on Williams. Philly must have moved up to get in front of Baltimore for Jordan Davis. Maybe Kyle Hamilton, I suppose.

Wow, Marquise Brown traded to Arizona, right after the Ravens draft Kyle Hamilton.

My God, now the Titans have traded AJ Brown to the Eagles and the Titans are on the clock at #18. WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?!

Wow, AJ Brown is a very good player, like that move by the Eagles. Not sure what the Titans are doing.

As a Saints fan I approve of this draft. Penning was on the top of my wish list.

Pittsburgh is a dream scenario for Pickett....happy for the kid even though I would have taken Willis. What an opportunity for him, going to an iconic winning organization the year Ben bows out.

Hollywood Brown and DeAndre Hopkins on the same team is going to be a handful for other teams to worry about.

I don't like Pickett over Willis for the Steelers. You're going to war in the AFC North and the AFC powerhouse QB's with a poor man's Mac Jones? Should have swung for the upside. You aren't winning 4 playoff games with Kenny Pickett as your QB.

Love KC moving up for McDuffie. Addresses a huge need in the CB room, as they lost Ward and Hughes in free agency.

I did have Walker mocked 22nd, thinking Houston would trade down for him, but whatever, I'll take the match of draft slot. Haven't had enough of those.

Jermaine Johnson is still there. By far the most surprising player still available. Of course, Willis is still there, too.

Elam gives me another team-player match, at least. They move up 2 spots to get him. Very sensible; they had to get a CB imo.

I was going to mock Smith to the Cowboys if I didn't have him going to the Saints. Months ago, one of their beat guys said Dallas LOVED both he and Penning.

There goes Johnson, I only missed by about 20+ picks on him!

Is it possible the Lions get Willis at QB in Round 2 instead of at Pick 2?

That would be a fantastic result for them. I am rooting for the Lions to become relevant.

Yeah no one saw that coming at all. Everyone missed there. Didn't see any mock sharps that had him any lower than the mid-teens.

We'll see if someone moves back into the 1st Round for him. You ideally want that 5th year option on a QB.

Travon Walker and Devin Lloyd...huge upgrades for Jacksonville.

I missed that the Lions have the last pick of the first round.

If they like him at all, you take him there. Goff isn't the answer in the Motor City.

Cole Strange 29th overall for New England is, well, strange. Yeah, they need a guard, but whoa.

They traded that pick as part of the deal with Minnesota to move up for Jameson Williams. Unless there's a trade up by someone, we're only going to see 1 QB go in the 1st Round.

Just saw a press conference with Snead and McVay. McVay said they were hoping he would be available at #104. lol

Ha, yeah there was no way that was going to happen. I mocked him 52nd and his range was generally thought to be mid 2nd/early 3rd.

Ended up with 28 out of 32 players correct in the 1st Round, with 7 direct matches with player to team and 7 direct hits on player to draft slot. A mixed bag, all in all. I missed on the #2 spot as I bought the late Thibodeaux hype, but I did get Stingley at #3 with that late hype. There were two other 50/50 calls that I essentially missed. The first was London at #8; that was considered a spot where either a WR would go or likely an edge rusher. I chose Jermaine Johnson there and had London at 10 to the Jets. Had I reversed those two things (and I had the Jets as basically a coin flip at 10 also), I would have had a direct hit at 8 with a team and slot match, AND I would have at least gotten a direct team match of Johnson to the Jets, since they ended up taking him later. (Most mock drafts are scored by a combination of two factors: how close you are to hitting each draft slot, and exact player-to-team hits.) Then the other one I missed was at #11, where Washington was scheduled to pick. I felt that was a 50/50 call between a WR and Kyle Hamilton. Had I went with the WR, I was going to take Olave there because I heard they preferred him to Wilson (who I mocked a little later at 13), and the Saints ended up trading to 11 for Olave, which would have given me another direct player match at his draft slot. The Quay Walker hit at 22 was nice, though.

Lots of strong talent available tomorrow. Tampa Bay holds some power as they hold the top spot as teams sleep on where they are, and I wonder if they could pick up more draft capital if a team wants to come up for Willis. It would be hilarious if they took Willis themselves! (I don't see that happening, but I suppose stranger things have occurred.) In theory, the Titans (#35), Giants (#36), Seahawks (#40 and #41), Falcons (#43), Lions (#46), Commanders (#47), and Saints (#49) could be players for not just Willis but the other 4 QB's who didn't go in Round 1.
