Going to guess there will be some awkward conversations during the day.
I’m going to guess there will be many taking the Curry stance.
Pelinka telling various players how well they fit and they want them back. The player responding “ you bringing back Westbrook and James? NO I’m good”.
My guess is they both just want this mess of a season to be over. James could not even be bothered to travel with his team to Denver.
Anthony’s comments in the McMenamen interview about “unhappiness not being worth the fight” in trying to win a Championship are revealing. Goes to the root of just how dysfunctional this team was by adding Westbrook.
Just a couple seasons ago the team chemistry was positive and strong enough to win a championship. Now look. Must be the coach. Lol

LeBron James is beginning his exit interview. Said it's human nature to start thinking ahead to next season and think about how the Lakers can build a roster that wins more: "We definitely want to be better."
LeBron says a big part of their problems this year was having so many different closing lineups and that the Lakers need players who can contribute on both ends of the floor
Ding ding ding LeGM! Now please don’t vouch for pickup basketball players.

Thank you.
That leaves Lebron out. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

Did Lebron also apologize for bringing in Westbrook, and for advising AD to "pace himself" and coast (eg play half assed) through the first half of the NBA season?
"I shouldn't have played that New Orleans game after the injury... I kinda made it worse, but I'll make a full recovery." @KingJames on his ankle injury.
I am so frustrated and cynical about James and this team.
All I can imagine for James’ exit interview is a scene from Caddyshack. James playing the part of Spaulding endlessly whining about what he wants.
Unfortunately I can’t envision any Laker FO personnel giving him the “ you will get nothing and like it” treatment.
I can’t believe my Lakers have sunk this low in so many ways.
This is first time in my life where I am actually questioning my desire to remain a Laker fan. I still will, inevitably, but the bond that I have with my Lakers has never been weaker.

Whatever plans LeBron has with the Lakers and AD can’t be seen as a sign that he’s staying, the FO still needs to decide the future of this team and they haven’t sat down with LeBron to speak on that yet.
if chris paul can still be valuable to a team, then so can lebron. lebron moves the needle much more than CP3 at their respective ages IMHO.
LBJ and AD is still a hell of a 1-2 punch. but EVERYONE, from bron to AD to jeanie, rambii, etc. BLEW IT with the WB trade and generally horrible last minute roster construction. to be honest, they all deserved this fate.
they have to move WB. definitely prefer keeping our first and reaves. take on some crappy longer term contracts. it might be for 2-3 players, but i bet those players will be a net positive as opposed to Russ playing no D and seemingly being a locker room cancer.
yeah, so far rozier and hayward might be semi realistic? gordon used to play the 2 guard. can he still do it?

Chris Paul took a sub .500 team to the finals his first year and then the best record in the league.
He took the losing Clippers and Hornets to the playoffs.
LBJ needed to create superteams to do what Chris did organically.
I'm baffled why people worship LBJ and protect him and hate Chris Paul.
CP3 should have played with Kobe and led us to several titles by now.
