I dunno where he ranks but imagine if you are the Pelicans....you drafted a guy ahead of him that doesn't want to play for your franchise and is hurt while the 2nd pick is playing like a superstar.

Top 3 player to watch for me. Top 10 player in the league. Can argue higher and I wouldn't mind.

In no particular order:

Jokic
Giannis
Curry
Embiid
Lebron

I’d put all of those guys above Morant. Then you have (in no particular order) Morant, Tatum, Young, Doncic, Mitchell, Durant, Harden, Booker, DeRozan, Gobert. You could argue for any of those guys and maybe a couple more. So I’d have no problem ranking Morant in the top 10 or close.

Tied with Steph for player I enjoy watching most. Jokic is REAL close though...his passes are jawdropping and dude does at least two a game.

Pretty amazing what Derozan is doing in the later half of his career.

Absolutely agree. Jokic is another top 3 player to watch for me. When I casually watch other teams, which was unheard of years ago, I am usually watching the Grizz, Nugs, Wolves, Hornets and Bulls when Lonzo was running the O. Occasionally I watch the Warriors and Sun's due to the fact they play some beautiful basketball.

Curious what others think of the D-Rose comp (early, MVP D-Rose, obviously). Morant seems better, to me.

Ja's upside hasn't shown a ceiling. He's making a statement. Took the Grizzlies from pretenders to contenders. Morant's status is elite. Top 10.

Side Note: A trade for Zion Williamson to Memphis is being floated. If Zion went to Memphis and he stayed healthy they'd be an instant contender.

No question. The Grizz have a nice young squad.

Dame wasn't really known for his athleticism. Morant is light years ahead athletically. Rose/Westbrook probably the only other big-ish point guards that are in the conversation.
