What he saying

He went IN

He was like the Lakers need to drop all these excuses (his word) about missing players and all this type of stuff. Missing players is not why there's no communication. Missing players is not why Frank Vogel had to burn a time out because three guys decided they didn't want to run back on defense (his exact words), you can't control injuries and a pandemic but you can control energy and focus and communication, and stop making excuses and play the game.

Thanks bro

Honestly, the Lakers look good with the lineup without Westbrook. They can take shots more fluently and the ball movement is better. After Vogel pulled out DH in favor of russ, luckily Bron and Reaves still fought to bring the lead down, but Westbrook can't really hold himself from killiing Lakers momentum with that stupid 3pt shot attempt.

One of the Lakers announcers mentioned that Westbrook has played every single game this season, Vogel should be the first to know that he needs to take a couple of games off to get his mind right.

Timing of the struggles of Russ and THT have been unfortunate.

A couple weeks ago THT was bad. Russ producing his career average.
Last 5 games Russ been terrible. THT is ballin right now.

Will we ever see these two get it going at the same time for once? January 15 should be interesting 🤔

Would getting Kendrick Nunn back onto the floor put Westbrook on the bench?

That’s the only hope. Vogel said he would see a lot of minutes. He better cut Westbrook’s and not Reaves

Game Summary:

Lakers lose 125-116

Be happy if you missed this game. Vogel unleashed his small ball team to watch them be up on the Kings 67-61 at the half, but still allowing the Kings to shoot about 55% at that time.

It did not change in the second half. The defense was excruciating to watch. They gave up 70 points in the paint. Russ had his 3rd straight "WTF is wrong with this guy?" game from the field, unable to hit basically anything [8-39 now in 3 games]. LBJ tried...he really did...but he cant be asked to carry Mr $44M on his back night after night like this.

Then of course the D just doesnt exist. But dont tell that to the brain trust behind this.

Ands back to .500 we go.

Cmon and AD and AB

what do people see in AB honestly?

the most overrated defender on this team.

he gets roasted against point guards.

Reeves has played better defense then him

Add AD too. Unless he returns to the player he was his first year here, he’s just as infuriating. Plays like a player comfortable and happy with 1 ring

Only (bleep) reason we do that lineup is because Russ is completely garbage without it. He's garbage now as well though so end it.

Do you truly believe he has a choice in this matter? A coach who prioritizes defence over all else ……. you think this is his decision?

Then whats his purpose out there? Yes i believe it's his decision in the end. If he cant do it get a coach who does.

This (bleep) has to end.

Charles Barkley had an interesting comment about Dame and Portland a couple of months ago. He basically said that star players know when their team doesn't have a enough talent to win and when that happens they don't play as hard. Maybe that's contributing to the lack of effort.

These guys came into the season expecting to win a championship and now they're struggling to stay above .500 half-way through the season. Clearly not going as expected, hope they can stay mentally strong until AD gets back.

What a bunch of baloney his first quote was more understandable then this 1... he isn’t helping the team out with anything and this is coming from a guy who is dying for Westbrook to play well

Frank has always been the most supportive of his players.” Lebron is the greatest basketball player this universe has ever seen”

Hopefully Frank and Russ can figure this thing out.
It can’t get any uglier than what we’ve seen. I guess there’s only one way to go now

This seems like a PR quote.

I'm actually hearing the interview right now. Dan Woike pressed Vogel a bit on finding other ways to help the team and Vogel replied rather tersely "He is."

sounded like he was just backing up his guy.

Westbrook is an iron man. Doesn’t get hurt and has avoided COVID. Good for him. I still think he needs a day or two of rest. I want to see this team without him.

Wow, is Vogel forreal? I hope no one is pressuring him into supporting Russ. I mean if he genuinely believes Russ could turn it around then he's gonna tie his job security with Russ by saying that.

Vogel's been such a great coach and I've been supporting him unconditionally but his support for Westbrook is making me scratch my head.

He’s played more minutes thus far than anyone in the NBA ……..to our detriment.

I mean, what do you expect him to say? He can't just throw his own player under the bus publicly. He ain't Phil He doesn't have the clout. I bet Vogel is seething deep inside and would probably sit Brick boy down if he was allowed to
