As we've come to national championship day, Georgia remains a 2.5-point favorite, so no major line movement. I'll be interested to see if that changes in the hours leading up to kickoff.

Georgia's defense is impressive.

I'm just enjoying watching a game that doesn't involve NFL refs . . .

Alabama is now down its two best WR's. Of course they have young 5-star recruits at their disposal to come in, but they've hardly played this year. Gonna be a tough task. Both defenses have stopped the run so far and rendered the opposing offense as one-dimensional.

Yeah, this is a good game for having your top 2 WRs out (and still have a chance to win a National Championship).

-Low scoring game with the lead.
-Half the game already over
-Defense playing very well.
-Georgia's offense also not doing anything

All they need is a TD somehow, or a turnover, or even a bunch of FGs can win the game. If Georgia scores 10 pts in the 2nd half, that seems like alot. That means Alabama needs to score 17 to win, they already have 9. They could get there with 3 FGs.

One thing for certain, Bill O'Brien isn't as innovative a play caller as his predecessors: Kiffin or Sarkisian

---------------------------------

2nd half now. Georgia has 2 possessions and nothing so far. Yeah, it's not looking good that they can even score 10 pts this half.

4 minutes into the 2nd half and we're already on our 4th possession. What a defensive struggle.

Young blinked with an awful throw on an INT, but Georgia went 3-and-out and couldn't take advantage. But they did pin Alabama back at the 2 after they punted. Still 9-6 Tide.

Stone cold drop on 3rd and 11. And then a blocked FG. WR inexperience coming into play for the Tide.

Yup, Alabama could actually win this game on FGs only.

Hard to see Georgia driving the field for another TD at this point.

Amazing drive. Funny how the OC opened up the playbook on that drive. Looked like all passes over 10 yds.

Definitely didn't see that coming based on how their offense played all game.

Georgia has them on their heels here. But a TD doesn't end it.

If anyone wants to know how bad the USC program was, looking the QB's on the sideline of this game....Bryce Young was a USC commit before changing to Alabama and JT Daniels was holding the clipboard on the sideline for Georgia having started a couple of games last year while losing the job to the eventual starting Georgia QB in Stetson Bennett.

CFB going to a 12 man playoff starting in 2026, and maybe as early as 2024.

Thoughts?

Good. Top 4 conference champs get byes. Other 8 teams play each other in a first round. Then it's quarterfinal play from there. That sounds like a playoff to me, as opposed to going right to the semifinals.

It’s going to destroy the reg season drama. Might get some 4 loss teams into the playoffs.

Theres no more drama in trying to stay undefeated or keep it at 1 loss.
