Lock him up. We need him if we have any hope of establishing a defensive identity.

Great game by AB! He scored 14 points with 4 steals. AB provided elite defense at crucial times throughout the game.
Bradley is a silent warrior. His defensive hustle and efforts have paid dividends all season long for the Lakers.

Not really the vagueness I wanted to hear

Per Goon

Frank Vogel says Rob Pelinka and Kurt Rambis will make the calls on how to use the open roster spot and whether the team keeps Avery Bradley.

We know he can’t publicly say LeGM…but we know

I suggest they keep AB or our POA defense is going to take a major hit and on this particular roster it could end up being catastrophic.

SMH.... you gotta be kidding. Bradley has been our most consistent defensive player on the team since he got here. IMO DJ is expendable.

So only one spot open from the Rondo trade, if so might come down between Bradley and Johnson?

Not sure how this specific quote was delivered. But there's been a little more "they" and less "we" in some of Frank's statements recently. Who can blame him really. He delivered on a title in a very difficult year and was promptly offered a hangman's extension and a roster of egos.

Please don't tell me that. I'm angry at Rob enough as it is.

Well, Lebron has praised Johnson in the media recently, and he gave Bradley the evil-eye the other night. So...

Actually we can fit both guys, unless I'm missing someone... I think it comes down to, if they want to make Bradley's contract fully guaranteed by the 10th.

Right. I read earlier that the deadline was coming out together and he has contract. So and also too I noticed Jovan put it a little bit differently in his tweet.

Frank Vogel said Rob Pelinka and Kurt Rambis will make the final decision on how to use the 15th roster spot and whether they will guarantee Avery Bradley's contract this week.

https://twitter.com/jovanbuha/status/1478118900223021056?s=21

So I am confused - if we do not guarantee him does he go away or does he play out the rest of the season and then just go back into the free agency pool? I wouldn't be excited about option two but at least he would play out the season. I can't imagine a scenario where they would not want him to play out the season like my brain does not get that

Not sure... But I think they have to waive him first, then he has clear waivers by the 10th to resign him on a non-guaranteed contract for the rest of the year. But they have to waive him by the 7th to do this...

I suspect Lakers do him right and will just make him fully guaranteed... They can always pull another Rondo type trade deal or waive one of DAJ/Baze, if they want to open a roster spot for a buyout candidate.

Someone on twitter (think it was Sam Quinn?) said that Bradley's having a similar form trajectory this season to his 19-20 season with us - started off real slow, before lifting his efficiency big-time in the second half of the season

Love to see him hitting shots at his current clip

He basically canceled out the loss of KCP

Yup, wasn't he the one that started most of the games with KCP off the bench? KCP only started when AB opted out of the bubble.

Always loved Bradley.

He's the PERFECT role player to play with Bron and AD.

Lakers really should lock him up to a multi-year deal.
