No one is going to help the Lakers
Not for $44 million with another $47 million coming..

Worst possible position for the Lakers to be in…

And we thought Deng and Mozgov were bad. Even combined, their salaries were less than what we are paying Westbrook.

Sad….

We traded Kwame for Paul Gasol once.

Do it Rob!

Fluke. Lucky trade. It was a fleece job. Doubt we could do that twice.

As frustrating a game as I thought it would be. So tired of this roster.

The Suns/Warriors game on the the other hand was entertaining as hell. Both teams respected every possession on both ends and competed the entire 48mins.

Sad just how far the Lakers are from competing on that level.

Those are just better teams. Golden State has a million long wings. We didn't lose because of effort.

I know some get criticized for doing this, but gonna do it anyway - our team had arguably the best defensive guard set the in league back during the Championship season. They brought it seemingly almost every game. I liked that team and how it was built around AD and LBJ.

This particular collection of fellas is just...ugh. I like Reaves, tho.

Just stop. Lakers effort was inconsistent, as usual. They had some moments. They also went down by 20 pts not once but twice.

If they had the “habit and culture” to play that hard every min of every game by the entire roster, they wouldn’t have a losing record.

Lakers are simply not that good, even when they were at full strength.

Ohh, what's really going to get you going is "we will flip the switch..."

Single digit loss and Russ triple dub, that's a moral victory for me. Can't ask for much more with the current Lakers team anyways

A loss because of Russ and his triple double hunting

Lakers are 16-18 after 34 games....if we are stuck with this roster (highly unlikely we find any suckers to trade for a certain highest paid player)...they have 48 games to salvage whatever hopes for a run this season. There needs to be a team meeting about how each player fits in this team.

80% effort
20% being wing deficient.

They still have AD and Lebron, 2 Swiss Army knife types so I’m not buying wing deficiency being anything over 30%.

The lack of effort and low bbiq from losing players over their careers…on the other hand…

Westbrook does this all the time because he hawks for rebounds instead of playing the right way.

Brooklyn just kicked Clipper ass last night.. up by 18+ the whole game it seemed

Harden is a frkn superstar

Odd how much better superstars are than regular super athletes

18 year old Kobe was better than 90% of the current NBA lol

This is why the teams that win usually have 2 or 3 or the top 15 players. The talent gap is really the difference.

The problem for the Lakers is Lebron isn’t top 3 anymore really (at 37 that’s expected and ok)

AD isn’t even top 20 right now. Even when he was playing.

Good Russ is probably top 30. Bad Russ doesn’t even crack 100.

So basically the Lakers are a team of really 1 star player and 2 dudes perceived as stars and not playing like it…

Role players are and forever will be role players. Their label is appropriate.

The Jazz are the epitome of a role player team with Mitchell and a bunch of high end role players. This is why they never win despite having high winning regular seasons.
