Why wouldn't he be happy game-wise?

I’m sure he’s happy with the win but he looked annoyed with Westbrook after those back2back tosses out of bounds to no one. Russ has a long way to go

Oh!

Yeah... :/

LeBron knows as well as anyone the defense and general effort isn’t good. If OKC hits an average amount of 3pt shots, this easily could have been a loss. You just can’t have that many minutes of Melo, Monk, Wayne, and even Russ and be competitive defensively.

That too. Monk can be OK on defense sometimes but man. Wayne I love ya but lordT. Lol

This game shows we are better without AD. It’s hard to try and force a lazy soft player in to the scheme.

It's hard to incorporate a player that is shooting 19% from 3 and refuses to play the 5 spot. It's tough to figure out.

And yet he's shooting 52% from the field and averaging 24 PPG while also being our team's best defender.

Do ya'll just hate on AD just to hate on him?

Don’t think we’re better without him but we definitely have more space and don’t look as lazy.

You think AD is the reason we look lazy? How many wide open threes did we give up tonight that OKC clanked X_X How often did you watch players sag off and leave a guy open for three?

Those were the shots that didn't get missed last game and we can't depend on them too. And you think that's because of AD?

Much better pace and quicker decision making by THT.
He finally hit a few threes tonight. Still not a fan of his outside touch. Should continue focusing on attacking the rim and playing suffocating defense.

We can not rely on Avery going 8/15 , 6-8 from three , and 4 stl every night.
He exerts soo much energy on defense every minute he’s on the floor. I’d be happy if he can consistently average anywhere from 8-12 points a night. Tonight Avery held Shai to 11 points and 4 assists.

Tonight was a good game for AD to rest. Lebron and Russ is enough to beat this young and dumb Thunder squad lol (Lou Dort 2-11 from three lol) Just makes you realize we don’t drop those two games guaranteed to the Thunder earlier this season if Lebron wasn’t out.

Lakers starters:
Lebron +19
Russ +18
Dwight +14
THT +12
Avery +13

This team is not better without AD. Just gotta figure it out with more minutes of the big three together. 55 games to go.

Good Win! Now let’s beat the brakes off the Magic on Sunday 😤😤😤💪🏀💪🏀💪🏀💜💛💜💛💜

Of course we are better with AD. one game here and there doesn't change much. he is the only weapon we have to win a chip or even make a decent playoff run.

I didn’t see anything from this game that really translates.

They still had those dumbass turnovers that led to easy points and the story of tonight was OKC terrible shooting that makes the Lakers look like the Warriors.

The Lakers also shot better than they usually do.

The 3 positives from tonight:

1. Reaves got big minutes and maybe Vogel will remember how he’s a good glue guy and winning basketball type player.

2. Bradley maybe gets into one of those 3 point grooves that makes him more playable and valuable.

3. Lebron played 34 minutes which is better than the effing 40+ minutes he has had to play in a few of these games.

But the glaring weaknesses are still there. Terrible effort on defense only saved by brick-OKC (except for Bradley making it a mission to make SGA work for everything) and dumbass turnovers leading to easy baskets that keeps the opponent in the game.

THT still intimidated by Lebron. His 2 early TOS were trying to force the ball to Lebron. If it’s too hard, look elsewhere on the floor to move the ball. I know he’s the Klutch Godfather, but damn,..,

Our defense was terrible, in that, we gave up 54 points in the paint to OKC.
This deficiency has to be addressed because top tier teams will relentlessly attack this area. (GSW, Phx, etc)

Lakers allow 112.1 points per game and ranks 27th in the NBA.

Unless Lebron/Westbrook play all-on defense for 35+ minutes, and/or THT lives up to his defensive-stopper potential, I'm really not sure what can be done beyond waiting for Ariza/Nunn to return and/or making a trade.

And the difference in tiered talent is a team like GS or PHX will attack the paint and hit the wide open snipers for 3…they will also get their fair share of offensive rebounds when this season’s lazy personnel doesn’t box out or secure a rebound.

Last night they survived because it was brick-OKC, not a recipe for success. Dort finally hit a couple of 3s in a row when the pressure was off, but that was basically it…

Payback is a beach. We need to put a streak together. We've only had one 3 game win streak. We have a longer losing streak, 4 games.
