I ironically, AD fits MDA style of offense. Pick and rolls all day with AD would make AD look like a monster. This roster isn't constructed to fit MDA though. I think it would be good watching an actual offense though, with player movement.

This team is not built for defense anyway, soooo why not? It will at the very least be fun to watch. Currently constructed? Unwatchable.

Mike D'Antoni? Hell no! A great offensive coach Mike D'Antoni couldn't even get the 2013 Lakers to become a top 5 team with a defensive minded coach in Steve Clifford on his staff.

The Houston Rockets "small ball" experiment was awful.

Do you guys really want the Lakers to turn into another mindless 3 ball team?

They would be better off bringing in Stan Van Gundy

Alternate universe. Phil Jackson. He comes back after Jeanie begs him. Does so due to Lebron, AD, Russ, Melo, Dwight, Rondo. High IQ Lebron and Rondo pick up triangle Quick, Russ struggles to figure it out.

Assuming MDA could bring out the best potential of this team, we would just be a high flying offense that doesn't play any defense who would probably exit in the 1st or 2nd round. Defense and rebounding win championship. Offense is...well, Lebron is offense. We just need a stingy defense and solid rebounding and let Lebron take care of the offense. Wait, that's the 2019 Laker team.

So yeah, offense gets the glory but defense wins championship and Vogel is the best in the biz when it comes to defense. Having said that, the Lakers are probably gonna fire him cuz that's what they do.

After examining all possibilities, the unfortunate truth is that the decision is probably between finishing the season with Vogel or bring down Kurt Rambis to finish the year.

So Melo and MDA round 3? I don’t think so.

Seeing how we’re 2nd in the league in PACE, I’m sure MDA gets us to #1 overall in a pinch…or should I say snap…since it could cost us a few Achilles in accomplishing that feat.

Why stop now…age ain’t nothing but a dumpster, uh number. Fire away…and let’s run run run this veteran team into the ground. It should be fun…

A second go around at 7 seconds or less….what a mess!

MDA was short changed by the Buss family his first tour here. The team was derailed by Steve Nash’s injury and Dwight’s illusion that he has a Olajuwon-like post game. Jeannie Buss and Phil Jackson were bashing MDA via their mouth pieces every day. He got such negative press here during those time, some of them were warranted but most of them were from jealousy of Phil Jackson and Jeannie just wanted anyone hired by Jim Buss look bad.

I’m all for a MDA hire. This is a different league, offense fuels defense. That last Rocket team he coached was pretty decent on defense. Players will step up their defensive energy when they know they have an dependable offensive system in place.

Alternate universe, I'd go with Kobe, and dare any of those entitled players to walk back or strut or not give effort.
