If we don't rest Lebron for these games, then I don't know which games to rest Lebron in. Let's get all these pre-season games out of the way. Go Lakers!! _________________ Playoffs is good enough. - Jeanie Buss 2024 |

I seriously don’t see Lebron resting until mid to later in the season. It’s too early in the season this team is still trying to figure things out. He might seat on b2b games vs bottom teams. He probably don’t sit playing in home games either. |

I'm gonna guess Lebron won't want to rest much considering what the short break did to his shooting rhythm. |

Yeah, he's already sat 2 out of 7 games as well to start the year why would he even think about sitting in a game like this with rest between games? He's going on 37 not 65, him playing and getting chemistry with the team is just as important as him occasionally sitting a game here and there.
This teams chemistry has already risen a pretty extreme amount considering what we were looking like in pre-season on to the first 2 games. Going up against mediocre/awful teams to get invaluable real-time reps and positive energy with winning is exactly what we need imo. We never really got that Chemistry going last season between AD and Bron missing so much time then you had high minute guys like Schro and Trezz who are far from positive chemistry players and i'm sure they're trying to make sure that doesn't repeat itself. |

The Los Angeles Lakers have assigned guard Wayne Ellington to the South Bay Lakers for practice today on rehab assignment.
Ellington will practice with South Bay today and then be recalled to Los Angeles immediately after practice. |

After such a bad offensive game on Sunday, I hope the Lakers score 130+ on Tuesday and massacre the Rockets. |

Those Rockets are replaying the 4th quarter in their heads and going to come out with more energy and fire than they showed in the whole first game.. my guess |

Will likely be a harder game. Early in the season so there is still hope. And no one likes to lose back to back games. |

I expect the Rockets will have reviewed plenty of film, and they have a lot of opportunities to improve over the mess they were last night.
My impression from last night is the Lakers' focus was on figuring out how to play solid defense, and there were a few tradeoffs on offense in order to limit weak defenders playing at the same time. I thought, for this squad, last night was a pretty solid defensive effort and the final score was not indicative of how well the Lakers controlled the outcome. You won't see me griping about 95 points if we win and are leading throughout the game.
Still, I'd say this is going to be a tougher game than yesterday. |

Just need to play with the same defensive mind and hoping we shoot better tomorrow night. We won that game by double digits despite having an off shooting night. |

DEFENSE is the KEY!! The Lakers defense forced 27 turnovers that led to 32 Lakers points.
However it should be noted that the Rockets played well in certain areas of the last game.
The Rox out-shot the Lakers 42.1% to 40.6-% and out-rebounded the Lakers 55-43.
The Lakers can't afford to overlook the Rockets, especially after that OKC debacle.
I expect the Rockets to come out with energy and put up a good fight. LET'S GO LAKERS!!

I wish we could rest some of our guys. We aren’t good enough to.

Absolutely, rest him in actual games. Play good defense and win games against crap teams in first half. |

Per Faigen
LeBron James is a gametime decision, Dwight is out. Frank expects to have the same starters as last game. Yes, I'm aware that's slightly contradictory given the LeBron update.
