Miami is out already.
It will be a miracle if the Lakers make it out of the first round.
Due to Covid, the season started and ended late last season.
Due to Covid, the season started with less of an offseason and more back to back games.

There was talk of no season- No jobs for stadium workers, crews that broadcast games, players not getting paid etc...
As fans we would have had even less entertainment at home by having no games while quarantined with freakin Covid.

You harp on the Lakers front office.
You harp on the players.

Have a little freakin context and remember that the players are humans who had bills to pay, were cool with having a shortened season, even if it meant injuries for teams like the Heat and Lakers.

They also had the longest mid season break of four months before the playoffs started. A two month playoff.

As context, the start of this season was Dec 11th. The Championship would have been won by Feb 10th.

Talking heads aren't talking about this so the fans aren't either. The league doesn't want to talk about this because it would point out that they rushed the season at the detriment to the players.

The best thing to have done for teams this year is to have missed the playoffs last year or been bounced out earlier.
