our goal is to stay in the area for 3-4 days, and we really want to see giant trees (the ones that cars can drive through). Between Sequoia and Kings Canyon which one should we enter from?

Kings Canyon has some nice camping spots but I think the "big trees" are mainly in Sequoia.

I can’t decide which says the most about humans, the mask worn below the nose, or the sight of a majestic ancient tree making you want to cut a hole in it so you can drive through it.

Same bizarre impulse that is behind seeing an elk with impressive antlers or a glorious lion and saying "I'm going to kill that, stuff it's head and put it on my wall."

after some research, we will enter Sequoia via Three Rivers. We will take our Tesla Model 3 AWD there, just booked an Airbnb with outdoor EV charging port near the park, hopefully we won't get stranded inside the park

They only cut dead trees right?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunnel_tree

According to this, 2 of them died, the others are still standing. It was a stupid practice that has thankfully been abandoned.

Thx for the info. Now I feel guilty. I always thought it was a cool thing to see/experience. Never realized they cut into living trees.

You can drive through Tunnel Tree in Sequoia. I’ve done it before,

I would recommend white water rafting in King's Canyon.

I went a few years ago and took the teenagers using Kings River Expeditions and it was absolutely fantastic. The kids loved it and I loved it.
