#7 seed v PHX is highly likely, if we win 1 play-in

It worked! Congrats Clippers on losing to the Rockets and now you are the 4th seed and Denver is the 3rd seed and you are out of the path of the Lakers!

Clips definitely gave Denver the Tywin Lannister treatment today.

Nuggets are going to tank on Sunday:

Avoid Lakers

Rest for Jokic

PDX is the easiest first round opponent in the West

The only wildcard is if OKC out-tanks the Clips.

Anybody with sense knew, that this was gonna happen. With all of the talk about the Lakers health, no team, wants to take that chance and face them. Nobody wants that type of smoke, that early in the playoffs. Nobody is confident enough to think that they are gonna beat Lebron and AD 4 times.

Even the Warriors would like to lose this game and have to face the Spurs, rather than the Lakers in the play in.

Well, we will see on Sunday. We will see who the play and who they sit.

What do our 2nd round match-ups look like if we are 6 or 7. Do we get the Jazz or Clippers?

Likely the clippers in round 2 unless the clippers can find a way to lose to the thunder.

DEN really holds no cards at all. They have the tie-breaker against LAC. They beat them 2 out of 3 this year. If the Clips lose Sunday, DEN cannot lose their way back to 4th. They stay 3rd.

If we lose either of our last 2, we stay in 7th, whether POR beats DEN or not. If we are fine with being 7th and playing GSW/MEM for a play-in to get PHX, that's that. What's funny is the two LA teams can determine DEN's fate by each losing one game.

If we lose against Indiana, perhaps it will motivate Denver to win against Portland. As a result, Denver will be matched with Portland instead of Dallas.

That way, Lakers are #7. The path for Lakers will be Suns - Nuggets - Clippers.

That's just one possibility. Lakers could win against Indiana and keep their chances alive for #6. I think the Lakers are in a good position no matter what happens.

Not true. If we win our games, Denver can either tank, and assure themselves of playing Portland or ,they can win and play the Lakers.

They don’t have Murray, so it’s gotta to be Denver. They will have huge issues against us because we have so many guys to throw at Jokic.

Denver or the clippers do not care who they play in the first round, just as long as it’s not the Lakers. The clippers, have done their part to assure that they avoid the Lakers. Denver, can tank and do their part on Sunday.

^That was not my point. If we and LAC LOSE, we control their seeding, not DEN. My argument was not about control with us winning.

I think it's a little conceited of us Lakers fans to assume that the Nuggets would intentionally throw a game that they believe they could win and by doing so accept a more difficult path to a championship, just to avoid playing us. Remember, in the minds of the Nuggets players, they're better than us. They probably expect to beat us. And realistically their best chance to do so would be in the 1st round before our squad has time to develop chemistry.

In a single one-off game, Memphis is pretty pedestrian offensive team and pretty easy to scout against. If I had to choose my opponent its definitely Memphis because they just don't have enough overall talent to be scared.

Agree, but then again I know the Lakers will get up for a game against Steph, but it will be disastrous if they don't take the Grizz seriously.

For the sake of entertainment though, please let it be Lakers vs Steph
