I probably missed some along the way since it's been over a year, but added Shaq's quote (of all people).

Thanks cmonkee for reminding me about this.

It's been a while but here was what Michael Jordan had told Roland Lazenby about Kobe:

LINK

Quote:
"Kobe had done the work. He [Jordan] was very aware and taking in great interest in Kobe Bryant's great work ethic. Michael Jordan's work ethic also is legendary. He said Kobe had done that work to deserve the comparison. He says Kobe's the only one to have done the work."

"Kobe’s ultimate competition is MJ. That’s why MJ watches him. MJ made people think what he was doing wasn’t human. Ditto the Kobester."

There's no question the game preparation and the effort that Kobe has done from the time he was 17 years old, no one comes close to that. Tex would say not even Michael in that regard, and Jordan worked very hard.

Thats remarkable stuff but im not surprised.

When its all said and done and Kobe hangs up the shoes, mark my words people will come out of the wood work and talk about how great he was and how the game is going to miss a player of his greatness. I think as time goes on after he retires you will see more and more love showered Kobe's way. The man deserves it.

All the Kobe doubters/haters need to see this, EVERYONE SAYS KOBE WORKS THE HARDEST, how can you ignore what MJ and all of the Laker greats say about KB24?

Thanks to the OP for retrieving this special thread.
Truly an amazing collection of testimonies on the hardest working player in the league. A true student of the game. Too soon to be gone. ;(
