I'm still sad that Magic just jettisoned Jules like that. I understand with LBJ it's an awkward fit, but it should have been worth investigating at least for a season. I feel like we would have had two wrecking balls with him and LBJ.
I've seen enough of him guarding Harden (and punking sHarden everal times on game ending drives) to feel that Jules would double as our big wing defender. Guys like Kawhi/PG are definitely not quicker than him and he has the size/strength to not get bodied like so many of our guards.
Jules at his absolute best is a mid-end LBJ. Under his tutelage, I think he would have thrived. But who knows - maybe LBJ didn't see any talent in him and told the team to cut their losses.
Was getting MVP chants tonight from the MSG crowd after coming up clutch late. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Sucks the dude can't have a full MSG rocking out and cheering him on this year. But hopefully next season he'll be even better. _________________ Under New Management

Happy for Randle, and he is actually helping the Knicks, something no one ahs been able to do for at least ten years. Helps having a good coach too. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions!
I haven't really watched him except to check his stats. Is he playing like a point forward now? Almost 6 assists a game on a 2:1 A:T ration is noice. _________________ KOBE

Yeah Thibs has him play point forward.
Coincidentally that is what Coach K said he should be played as, back in his college days.
Took this long for another coach to actually try it, and the result has been the best season of his career thus far. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Didn't think he'd add step-back three pointers to his game. Beyond insane, and it just speaks volumes about his work ethic. He's above Ben Simmons this year. Man, he's come such a long way. I remember when he was a wee lad, trying to make a name for himself and struggling in summer league. Too bad we didn't have patience for him.

This year he is above any player of his age or younger, besides embiid.
Playmaking, 3 pointers, step-backs, fade-aways... his game had one of the most impressive and unique developments I can remember.
Just love for Julius, he bleeded purple&gold and should have stayed a Lakers.
He has improved a lot but people are getting way ahead of themselves. Still has the same flaws he did before. The usage is super high and can he play winning basketball? Not consistently that’s for sure. Box scores aren’t everything...especially in today’s game where guys like Dort are dropping 40points on any given night.

Tell me about these flaws... I'm genuinely curious.
By the way, having a very high USG% is a merit if your team is winning.
MVP caliber season. It wouldn't be a stretch to say he's above guys like Simmons, Tatum, Brown, etc this season, simply because he's playing winning ball. Knicks just don't win w/out him, despite their tough defense. He's doing it all for the Knicks.
I wasn't high on him here because I felt he was too one dimensional at times, but his game has evolved, and he's far more team oriented. When you play for your teammates, beautiful things start happening.

If anyone had known Randle could transform himself from a career 29.5 percent shooter from 3-point range into a 40.5 percent shooter this season, and dared to say so, chances are such bold souls would not have been believed. Randle’s improvement from deep, after all, is the most significant midcareer increase in long-distance shooting proficiency in league history.
Randle is on pace to become the first N.B.A. player to enter a season with a career 3-point success rate below 30 percent (on more than 500 attempts) and then shoot 40 percent or better on 3s (with a minimum of 150 attempts), according to research from the noted statistical expert Justin Kubatko.
