Part of the problems inside tonight was the inability of anyone on our team to throw a post entry pass. I bet the only one healthy who could do that today is Marc Gasol, lol. Schroeder, KCP, THT, Caruso all failed in their post entry passes today.

It's gonna be tough to get to 3rd seed. It's looking like we're ending up 4th/5th playing the Nuggets in the first round, which would add to the difficulty of winning the next championship.

Knicks win 111-96.

Lakers had 22 turnovers. Lakers did have 7 more made 3's than the Knicks (and shot better from 3, 33% to 18%), but outside of that stat, Knicks were basically better in every other category.

In a way, not an unsurprising loss. Lakers down AD/LBJ are just this type of team...inconsistent. When having a wierd night like tonight just dont have that "guy" to pull you through. In the end, Knicks just beat the Lakers at their own game - with defense and rebounding.

Onto the next. Mavs lost, so Lakers still up 3 in the loss column there. Hopefully they can pull out the Hornets game.

We are a lottery team sans the Ners performance. Knicks winning means little

It's all about the rotation man.. If Vogel didn't bench Gasol and B-Mac, they might have a better chance. Damn Kuz and Harrell looks like they are playing for the Knicks out there.

yep

Embarrassing loss. The turnovers and offensive rebounds allowed were inexcusable.

Any of those top 4 teams will be tough, IMO.

We faced another defensive team that was better at offense than us.

LOL I am more worried for them going in the play-in
How the hell would they even get to the 3rd seed with this lineup.

What is strange is I watched that stretch with both of them in there in the thired and the Knicks lead slowly growing. As the third ended Kuz and Harrell were a combined -37, both at the time team worst -24 and a -13. And what was happening on the court reflected that +/-...they looked ragged.

To start the 4th? Vog stuck with them.

Shrug.

Call me a pessimist, but I'm not convinced that we'll make it out of the 1st round against any of the top 4. It will depend on how AD looks coming back. If he is back to early-season AD, we'll be a 1st round exit.

Julius Randle has come a long way, if we didn’t bring LeBron to LA he would still be with us but since we obviously prioritized LeBron we let Randle walk and thus his game has exploded.

Yup, that's why you want to be seed 1-3 so you don't get a top 4 team in the first round.

Knicks were awful from 3...I was surprised we just didnt pack it in all game.

But outside of that, they were hitting mid-range and getting to the hoop effectively (and the FT line). Plus cleaned up on the boards.

I'm already thinking ahead like even when Lebron came back and we won 90% of our games, it wouldn't even be enough to overtake the Clits for the 3rd seed. Any seed from 4 thru 8 will have a tough first round opponent.

As long as they are healthy, no one can beat the Lakers in a 7-Game series...

That is if they will stop using harrell @ C spot. Their opponents looks like they are just waiting for it for them to start attacking the Lakers in the paint.

This was a low basketball IQ loss. The Lakers played right into what the Knicks wanted them to do.

Harrell is too much of a defensive liability for a team that needs to play elite defense just to win right now.

That's why flips fans wanted Zubac over him. They are blaming his ass for the flips choke job because Jokic abused him.

Drummond at least played defense and was grabbing rebounds, Trezz on another hand was just awful, I don’t want to start to go in that moment were I have to tell myself if the Lakers letting Harrell walk wouldn’t be the end of the world cause he’s been a beast most of the year, Drummond joining has made him put less effort in the games hopefully that changes.

I've been wanting to see the Gasol (C) / Harrell (PF) lineup for a minute now.

Tonight only increases that desire. Trez is not a C on a championship team.

Imo it was more than just Harrell, but he was part of the problem without a doubt. He drives me nuts on defense and I’m not as obsessive about defense as Vogel is...

I didnt get to see Drummond play much, but post game they said Knicks just swarmed him when he got the ball forcing him to pass out...is that accurate?
