The fact we were still essentially the best defensive team in the league means we can beat anyone if our offense gets going. Problem is, it hasn't been. But tonight it definitely was. The defense is always there, but the offense was too, and we beat the Nets by 20+

The Nets were within four points until Kyrie got ejected.

It was a great win... but let's not intentionally exaggerate it.

LMFAO, DS was also thrown out and they still got KD, that's not an excuse. Nets is playing vs depleted team and they still got KD.

And Dre went outside yet they can't still capitalized.

Excellent. If you can beat the Nets, you can beat the Knicks and Charlotte. Then hopefully AD is back for one of the Utah games and seeding matchups vs. Dallas.

Can’t believe the leftovers won.

They didn't just win, they demolished the Nets!

Nice flex.

You deserve this, IG.

I was basically the only 1 who thought the team will come out today with a purpose.

Good call on the win. I've noticed that you do have some counter logic thinking.

I almost did not watch...but...I...cant...help...myself...

Had to watch, even if it meant it would be painful. So glad my curiosity finally did not get the better of me!

You should not have been kicked out Schro. Laker Nation loves you.

19pts on 7/11 shooting, with 1 rebound, 4 assists and 0 turnovers in 20 mins!

Terrific effort in setting the tone early for the team.

Kyrie is several magnitudes greater than DS.

I'm happy about Drummond.

I'm pretty happy with everyone except for greedy Schroder

If BMac and Dre play like this for us when Lebron and AD get back, we are unbeatable. Huge props to the entire team. DS finally going to work and limiting the TOs before his BS ejection and KCP stepping up when DS was out was great to see.

Nets is tailor made for the Lakers. Lakers have defenders for their Big 3, but Nets don't have a defender on Lakers Big 3. Heck they can't even defend 1 of those 3.

Absolutely true. It's hilarious as its almost as if the lack of any room MIA gave him last game was "tough practice" for this game...the Nets D must have seemed like the Ocean to him, wide open lanes!

Lakers beat Nets, 126-101

No, that is not a misprint.

Nets were without Harden, but they had Kyrie and KD. They started at LMA at Center.

Lakers got out early, hitting 3's. Went up 11-2. 18-7. As second quarter came to a close Nets started going off, tied the game. Lakers would then pull ahead again. DS was a big factor on this, constantly getting switches that he abused in attacking the basket again, and again, and again.

As the second half started, it went back and forth. At 66-62 Lakers, Kyrie suddenly got upset with DS. They jawed at each other. Double techs. Jawing continued. Kyrie tossed. Jawing continued. DS tossed.

Lakers responded much better to this than the Nets.

After that moment, Lakers would start to pull away. Dre was an absolute mismatch problem for the Nets. He already was in the first half, but now down Kyrie...they had no answer. Then McLemore started heating up. Then the whole team on defense just started swarming like crazy, like a mass of bees to honey.

Before you knew it Nets were down 20. Game over.

This game was won by 1. Solid, to great D; 2. Lakers giving Nets a taste of their own 3 point medicine, going 19-34.

Drummond was just an absolute mismatch issue for the Nets. He had 20 points, 11 boards...in 22 minutes. Yes, 22 minutes.

Harden will obviously give the Nets a different look. But here's what we did see tonight: Dre is still impactful vs a small ball team. He was crashing the boards, causing issues on drives, switching out well, and on offense just being a load.

Just a great, great win for the team. Just keep the focus for Monday's game, Knicks will be no joke, they like to play D as well.

This is why our strategy for when teams go small should never be "lets go small too!"

Particularly when we have the size advantage mismatches.

Awesome! It’s been a frustrating stretch but this win feels like that March Bucks/Clippers weekend wins...obviously on a different level. The supporting cast must be feeling extremely confident after this game.

Last March, it was more about LBJ dominating and showing it wasn’t going to be washed king quite yet.

Great job by the supporting cast. It’s a good sign for playoffs.

Yeah Kyrie is, but TONIGHT DS was lighting up the Nets too, while Kyrie was lighting up the Lakers, they BOTH got ejected, but the Nets kept KD.

It wasn't like Kyrie had 18 and and Dennis had 5 and they both got ejected. They were pretty much trading their offense. And when we lost our main offensive guy, the Nets still had KD.

Give credit where it's due.

I know I'm being obnoxious but I can't relax until we sign him for a reasonable amount or let him walk.

If he accepted a lower salary, I'd be fine with him.
