Awwww.....we need another Adam Morrison moment. That 2006 team though had like 5 future NBA players that I remember (Farmar, Collison, Afflalo, Mbah A Moute and Hollins). Nowhere close to that level of talent or the 2007 and 2008 squads which were even better than the 2006 finalists....but hell you take what you can get. |

The double Js - Jaime and Johnny - have pro potential, but yeah, this is maybe the least talented Bruin team to ever make a Final Four. _________________ Under New Management |

This Bruins team wasn't even supposed to make the tournament and now they turned that first 4 bid into a Final Four run. |

Its like 2021 UCLA is the George Mason of the 2006 run (same seed too) even though they play nothing like that 2006 George Mason team. But when George Mason knocked off UConn of Rudy Gay, Marcus Williams, Hilton Armstrong and Josh Boone, it didnt look like a fluke and they traded buckets with them led by Skinn and Lewis. UCLA beating Michigan did not look like a fluke at all. But like that George Mason team ended in the Final Four being really outclassed by the eventual champions of Noah, Horford and Brewer Florida squad, it looks like the Bruins run will also end at the Final Four by the future champions in Gonzaga. |

Crazy how this team won 5 tournament games and made the Final Four and the team with Lonzo Ball that was a 3 seed only won 2 games and got beat up in the Sweet 16. That team only had 4 losses going into the tournament and this team came in with 4 straight losses. |

I feel better about this team than the Farmar, Afflalo, Collison squads that lacked firepower and sufficient bigs. This team has options, and although I don't expect perfection, they only need a 3 game win streak to shock the world. They may not win another game, but I'm not counting them out anymore. |
Those teams had awesome defenses. And the years they were a 2 seed, they took out the #1 and #3 in their region. I still wonder what they do if it wasn’t for Florida. |

Afflalo got really bothered by Brewer. That was the decisive matchup. One thing I can say for those 2006-2008 Bruins, the teams that did beat them in the NCAA tournament were all teams that were better than them.
I will say that in the past 30 years, the best and most memorable matchups of college ball unfortunately did not involve UCLA but Duke with UNLV 30 years ago and Maryland 20 years ago. That Duke-Maryland 2001 and 2002 was college bball at its best |

And didn't the 2006 team have Russell Westbrook backing up both Farmar and Collison? Crazy talent on that team. |

I'm not trying to be delusional, but I'm going to stop doubting. It could take an Ed Pinkney/Villanova-like ('84 when they beat Ewing's highly favored Georgetown) perfect game to beat the Zags, but I'm willing to give the Bruins the longshot chance that nobody else is. Their defense adapts very well to all sorts of situations they've faced. I really trust their pg, and their bench shooters could get hot. I'm willing to watch the game before declaring it's over like the rest of the country..
If they win, they'll be big underdogs in the finals too, but I'd expect them to rise to the occasion. Again. |

I hope to see another Mike-Fratello-esque ugly slow-ass game from the Bruins with scores in the 40s and 50s against the Zags and I mean that with all sincerity. Thats the only way UCLA will win |

From the First Four to the Final Four.
Impressive run by UCLA regardless of what happens vs. Gonzaga. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

This guy bet $270k on Gonzaga to beat UCLA. And if he wins, he only wins $30k. Wow.

They got to fight so hard for every score.
Juzang a g-leaguer at best playing like Jimmy Chitwood.
If the Bruins can pull this off.....

^ This. It feels like the Bruins are so physically overmatched. They're just getting bounced around. _________________ KOBE |
