I've never been to San Diego but I will be there next week. I have a really random question.

I heard there is a statue of Bill Walton there. I've heard it has moved locations a few times. I'm hoping to see it. Can anyone tell me where it currently is, and if it's available to the public to see?

If you mean the one of him holding his arms out and posed with his bike, last I heard it is on public display at the Mission Valley YMCA on Friars Road. I looked up a number for the Y : (619) 298-3576 if you want to call and ask them about it.

If it is not there, you might want to check in here. Even if you don't find the statue, you just might find something interesting. . . .

Bill Walton statue isn't welcome in San Diego, so maybe they should send it to Portland

Yeah, that was from 4-5 years ago. The plan to permanently display the statue in the SD airport fell thru after it had been temporarily displayed at a couple local places like the Sports Arena and PetCo Park. There was a big debate about where to put it. But the YMCA in Mission Valley said they were happy to have it and I believe it is still there, it was designed as a permanent spot.

My bad. I didn't take note of the article date. This is also from 2016 I don't know if it's still there

The statue of legendary San Diego basketball player Bill Walton has found a new home- for now. After a near two-month stay at Petco Park, the 6-foot 11-inch, 850-pound bronze statue of Walton has been moved to the concourse of the Valley View Casino Center, formerly known as the San Diego Sports Arena.Oct 10, 2016

Was very cool. Got a chuckle out of it. The statue features a Grateful Dead shirt. Don't know how to post photos here, otherwise I would.
