My “gut concern” is if you look at last 3 games lakers have had significant bursts of g league awful play. It took a herculean effort from lbj in cleveland to win that game and another one from him in philly to keep that close.

The team the past 3 gamez has imo looked disoriented and confused on both ends for minutes at a time in games. They allowed 2-3 7–10 point bursts in 1 minute or less to philly. Allowed a 19-3 run in the 4th vs one of the worst teams in the league. And had fallen behind cleveland by double digits at one point.

My gut is between vogs frankly bizzare rotations (his amazinc praise for AC but refusal to play more than 20 minutes), discombubalted offense (including a relatively subpar demonstration on fast breaks), and them trying to adapt on d without 2 athletic bigs seems to have all come at the same time. Celtics come at a bad time.

Im not dooming glooming the season, but just pointing out how the above to me likely means an L tonight.

I want them to prove my gut wrong.

imo Lakers win this one and people are once again talking about us being a top title contender. This roller coaster ride of a season is still just starting.

I have a feeling we see dominant AD again tonight but will he stick around longer then a game this time? Absolutely nobody knows!

They will struggle because like Dr. Dent mentioned they haven’t looked good against inferior competition. That defense hasn’t screamed number 1 defense and there are a few players pressing on offense.

This is a quality opponent so I expect a better effort from the Lakers, but playing with that on/off switch is not easy. It’s probably likely they do some good things tonight to re-calibrate but probably still take an L because of all the recent built up bad play.

I could be wrong, but I think the Celtics punch them in the mouth and we will see the response. It’s a process when a team is really struggling and the Lakers haven’t looked good for some time tbh. Just small spurts...

We should likely know the first quarter that quarter this year has defined i believe 5 of their 6 losses (almost a mini sum of whats to come). Especially if opponent shoots 60%+ in first

The only formidable opponent they have this year is boredom, so this should be an easy win.
