My Top 3:
2010 - Lakers getting revenge on Boston. Felt like a decade worth waiting. Never seen Kobe so happy. Also Metta World Peace’s post game was an all time classic!
2020 - This one was special. Never seen a band of brothers this close together, playing 3 months quarantined for each other. Going through a tragedy with Kobe’s passing and dedicating the season for him. Lots of redemption stories from LeBron’s promise the prior season to Dwight and Rondo’s career reclamation. Proving every doubters wrong. Just a special team of brothers.
2000 - First Laker Championship I got to live and experience. Started watching in 1991 and 9 long years to see it come to fruition. First parade I ever attended. My childhood championship. _________________ Endgame Hail Hydra

2009 for me. Felt like I’d watched that team grow up. So proud of Kobe and Pau for all the progress they made. Fisher cementing his legacy with his game 4 clutch shots against Orlando. Ariza developing into an elite role player. Shannon Brown’s dunks. Vujacic. Mbenga and Morrison. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
1972 - First championship in LA
1980 - Magic's first championship
1985 - Beat Boston for the first time
1988 - Repeat
2000 - First title at Staples Center
2002 - Three-peat
2010 - Repeat against Boston
2020 - A special season. Still processing... _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.
Agree on 1985, that one was a breakthrough vs the Celtics. 1988 was an amazing Finals, first time a team repeated in 19 years and they backed up Riley’s guarantee. 2000 Lakers ended a drought, loved that comeback vs Portland to set up the Finals vs Larry Bird’s Pacers. 2010 was special as the Lakers got revenge and beat the Celtics.
1972. After all those years of losing in the finals, too bad it couldn't have been against Boston. Seeing Jerry West finally winning, just wish Elgin could have been there.
Good call! _________________ Starting Lakers Dynasty6.0! NOW!!

....." each year in Lakerland is marked by four seasons: Kobe’s Mad at His Teammates; Kobe’s Shooting Too Much; Kobe Leads the Victory Parade; Kobe Receives His Championship Ring."
- All the 80’s/Magic Teams
- The 71/72 Wilt/West 33 win streak team
- Kobe Shaq championships
- The Lebron team and the Kobe/Pau Championships are pretty even for me right now, maybe a slight edge to Kobe/Gasol with Artest giving the best post game interview of all time.
2000 still holds special spot in my heart. That team was on the rise, both Shaq and Kobe were under 25 at the time, sky was the limit for them. I like this team as well but front office has a lot to do to keep this a contending team giving LeBron’s age and our poor supporting cast.

Anyone notice a theme?

After those three victories over the Celtics, it's the first one with Kobe and Pau. Soooooo much (bleep) talk on Kobe from Shaq and almost every sportstalk guy on TV/radio. Was so incredibly gratifying to see Kobe prove all of them wrong. My only wish was that we got the Kobe vs. Lebron Final in '09. That would've been so damn epic.

'85. That changed everything. At half time in game six, a snotty kid had a terrible stomach ache. But when the game was over... when the Lakers won the title and beat the Celtics... the stomach ache was gone.
The Lakers healed me. _________________ "We got a new universe coming and he's going to control all our universes. We're going to put our universes together" - Metta World Peace
