Welcome to the Lakers, the better Morris Brother!

No, I’m not biased!

I get nervous when I see “Lakers” and “Frontrunners” for a player. Hopefully the Lakers get him and not Toronto.

they're similar, one just had a way higher usage rate.

but more importantly we keep Kuzma, Green and a second rounder.

Per 36 mins:

Marcus: 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists.

Markieff: 17.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists.

So not too far off in terms of stats, Marcus is the slightly better 3 point shooter though. How are they comparable on defense is what I want to know.

If no other moves are made, lets go to war with a deep front line and bigs that can shoot.

Bradley 20/Caruso 16/Rondo 12
Green 24/KCP 24
James 36/Kuzma 12
Davis 18/Morris 12/Kuzma 18
McGee 12/Howard 18/Davis 18

Also, he will be more willing to accept smaller role than Marcus. It would be great addition to get some bigger body to guard Kawhi in the playoffs. Make it happen Rob.

Markieff MorrisMorris is averaging 11.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 22.5 minutes per game over 44 contests this season.
For his career, Morris owns averages of 11.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 623 games.

On a per-36-minute basis, Morris' 17.7 points per game are the second-highest mark of his career, which speaks to his efficiency..... via B/R

I like the move if we can get him. He's tough too which is something we need.

I don't understand this chart, but it supposedly says Markieff is a versatile defender.

Saw this on twitter:

Quote:
Markieff Morris's cap/tax figure is $3.2 million.

Any team with cap room or a sizeable enough TPE can claim Morris off waivers.

The Rockets have a $3.6 million TPE and can claim Morris.

Did Shams jump the gun with his front runner tweet?

Rockets would be stupid not to claim him. He is better than the 2 players they just signed to play a similar role. And Jeff Green only got a 10 day so he can easily be waived.
