He's famous for throwing full court heaves with lots of time left on the clock

I am sure we will be able to stream them. I'll post whatever solid links I find in this thread - I am sure others will as well

I am really glad we didn't draft smart. payton is a sleeper ROY (aka lillard). but still really glad we took randle over smart.

As bad as he looked last game, Payton was really good today. Interested to see if he can play well when Oladipo isn't sitting out.

word, he looked good today.
i will say this tho ; PG defense in the summer league is actually better than in the NBA. these guys are picking up full court in the SL; going all out to make a roster.

my prediction for Payton as a rook, is only a decent year. but thats good. i think his J will really hold him back. but he'll look better than M.Smart off the dribble. and really good on D.

Smart was drafted before Randle...

Elfrid did good his last game. He doesn't "wow" me though for someone who got as much hype surrounding him.

Aaron Gordon looks big and is really, really light on his feet. IDK, as high as I was on him.. he seems like he's a good two or three years away from being a real good player. That sequence in the beginning of the game where he had a real loose, sloppy handle and then airballed a shot against a pretty small team to begin with? Yikes when he goes up against NBA length.

Amazing comments thread here from Celtics fans. It takes them all of ten minutes from loving their squad to throwing Smart under the bus.

Summer league is just a glorified scrimmage. Funny how people overreact in both directions..

Payton lit it up today. As for our team, the roster is here just in case you missed it:

NAME POS HT WT COLLEGE/LAST TEAM YRS. PRO
Rodrigue Beaubois G 6'1" 183 Spirou Charleroi 4
Jordan Clarkson G 6'5" 194 Missouri R
Xavier Gibson C 6'11" 229 Florida State R
Anthony Ireland G 5'10" 194 Loyola Maramount R
Jerome Jordan C 7'1" 220 Tulsa 1
DeAndre Kane G 6'4" 200 Iowa State R
Kendall Marshall G 6'4" 195 North Carolina 2
Trevor Mbakwe F 6'10" 244 Minnesota R
Kevin Murphy G 6'6" 185 Tennessee Tech 1
Julius Randle F 6'9" 249 Kentucky R
LaQuinton Ross F 6'8" 220 Ohio State R
Roscoe Smith F 6'8" 215 UNLV R
Trey Thompkins F 6'10" 244 Georgia/LA Clippers 1
Scott Wood F 6'6" 169 North Carolina State R
Renaldo Woolridge F 6'9" 220 USC R

We have a lot of prospects here excluding Randle (e.g. Kane, Beaubois, Clarkson), but expectations should be tempered. Personally, I hope that Marshall has stepped up his game. I would like one other player to shine and dominate the summer league along with Randle.

Fun fact: Renaldo Woolridge is son of former Laker Orlando Woolridge.

Gordon looks as raw as many thought ; and probably more raw than the Magic thought he'd be.
he cant take any SF off the dribble, at times even fumbles his handle. no way he'll be able to take a SF off the dribble until he gets jumper. and he's missed 99% of his jumpers here in SL. (i laughed at the people who believed he changed/fixed his stroke around the draft)

got his first big minutes at PF today, and he got severely out rebounded. his beloved "motor" was even below average today for regular players. but, to be fair, i wont judge his motor til game count. i think his motor will probably be great then.

eh.

Nerlens Noel is going to be an absolute beast. Im not sure how he'll fare against the Marc Gasol's and DeMarcus Cousins' of the NBA. He's gotta grab more than 3 rebounds in a game though.

^ I'd tag along .. but i'm flying lol. I can't stand the drive anymore. What days you going? I'm going to at least monday's game. I'll see how I like it before I commit to other days haha
