*Pau waits until everyone is out of the room. Slams his shoe. Looks around to make sure no one saw it. Picks it up. Apologizes to himself and leaves the room*

-Pau's shoe incident, circa 2014

Nice. Shows that Pau still cares. Will surely look good to a team looking to make a trade.

Not for the Lakers, unless a #1 pick is coming back.

Seems like players score at will against pau.

Players score at will against everyone on this team--we are giving up ridiculous scores. So are all these players truly bad defensive players? or is it maybe a coaching thing? (hint: look at MDA's coaching defensive record)

Yinoma wins the internets today

Yinoma is the only material witness of Gasol slamming down his shoes (when nobody was in the locker room (well, except Yinoma hiding behind a locker)).

Closed circuit tv of course. Pau forgot to see that.

Pau is definitely not the best defensive player, but he is the leader and doing his job (like Kobe, who is not the defensive player he once was - consistently.

Kaman has often been a TO machine

When Hill is not an offensive threat and/or cannot play outside the paint, Pau does not have the room to operate.

Kelly is playing because he is making many of the right defensive switches while a "better" threat offensively.

Marshall, Young and Kelly are showing that they are sick of losing while taking personal ownership of what they need to do better - good sign.

Give me a break and Pau is not TO prone? I am not one of those Pau haters but he got no room to talk here. Bosh just drop 31 on him, when was the last time Christina Bosh scored 31?

Good for Pau, he needs to say stuff like this.

What he needs is to look in the mirror and start leading by example. What have we seen so far this season? One decent defencive game from him? Two?

Yinoma was in the showers telling Nick Young he'd have his back and just happened to notice the big llama's schizophrenic outburst.

Is Pau a great defender - NO. Judging him exclusively on how many points Bosh scored is totally inaccurate. If the other Lakers are notrotating (helping the helper), Bosh should score a lot.

When Kaman gets 3 TOs in 6 minutes, that is not good.

When Hill is not making any shots in the paint, cutting and/or able to defend players like Bosh on the perimeter - it is hard to give him starter minutes

I just find it disingenuous that a player who so inconsistently brings fire would call out his teammates about it. And defense? Pau hasn't played more than a couple decent defensive games all season. He's a good guy and I know he's trying, but a few weeks of playing hard doesn't suddenly make him mr. intensity, and I'm sure it has to ring hollow with some of the guys who have played harder than him all year.

I was thinking the same.

I am not judging Pau by this game only, i am judging him by his defense all season long. We have nothing in the middle when Pau is there... It's in the words of the great Phil jackson "Broke back mountain penetration". So, Pau needs to look in the mirror. Not saying his is wrong for speaking up, but about Defense? He just can't talk to anyone about defense!!!!!

It's a BS situation

He played poorly - people complained

He ups his gameplay - people complained

He wasn't vocal enough - people complained

He's vocal - people complain

It's just completely absurd at this point.

Why is this even above the Game Thread?
