Sad to see my friend and teammate @MettaWorldPeace leave. He's a player that has my admiration and respect. I wish him nothing but the best!

Metta World Peace just told @mcten and I that he has no desire to play in the NBA next season. Not for Knick, Nets, Clippers..no one #Lakers

MT @mcten: MWP told @shahanLA and I playing in China is indeed his No. 1 priority. After that? Coaching or - no joke - arena football

Metta said his top desires are playing in China, working with a team as a player development coach, and playing arena football. #Lakers

Is Ron hinting retirement today? Get him a job with the Lakers organization as a player development coach, Phil. He can teach the young heads how to play man to man defense.

Sux he has to go. He earned his place as a Laker.

Message to Laker Management: "Veteran teams win championships."

They should of kept MWP for one more year.

He will be missed.

Not this season. But he has said that he is interested in talking to the Clippers if they want him to play for them.

I'd love to see Metta be a part of the Laker family for life. I think he can do a lot of good.
