Hey guys. I'm new here and wanted to see if anyone knew anything about this figure of Kobe. I came across it on ebay, and wanted to know if it's legit. And would anyone know what the going price would be? I want to bid on it, but don't know if it's worth it. Any input would be much appreciated.

No idea dude. I have never seen that before. Have you checked out the vinyls or the McFarlane figures? You know those are legit. In fact I have some of the rarer ones myself.

Yeah, I've never seen it before either. I'm a big collector of Kobe figures and memorabilia, but I haven't come across this figure yet. It's pretty cool. I mean, HOT TOYS is legit, so who knows. I've done a google search and turned up nothing so far

SPAM! Ha ha. Yeah, I guess it could look like that. But no, I'm serious. I just wanted to find out if anyone knew anything about this thing before I placed a bid. I just wanted some peace of mind.

that figure was a limited edition released to coincide with the Adidas Kobe II back in 02. They were limited and then cost about $100 - $200.

Cool. Thanks alot for that answer. Now I have more info so that I can do more research. If anyone else knows any more about this figure, or have some kind of a link to save me some research, I would really appreciate it.

It looks more like Eddie Murphy than Kobe.

Yeah, he kind of does. It's still a pretty cool collectible. I remember Kobe looking somewhat like this back then. Just not as dark. Ha ha
