Yeah, my boy Brock Lesnar, the Next Big Thing! All those elitist MMA guys can't take a WWE guy coming in and dominating their sport. |

Brock makes a DAMN good heel. He obviously learned how to cut a good promo and man was it good.
EDIT: His reign in UFC is going eerily similar to his reign in WWE. He comes in as the next big thing, learns the ropes, wins the title, and rapidly takes down the best in the business. |

Im looking at UFC.com right now and saw the Brock press conference on the main page.
I guess Dana tore him a new one because hes all apologetic after talking with him after the fight. I thought it was good TV by Brock at the end I know they don't want WWE entertainment, but was fine by me for the most part. I guess flipping off the crowd who paid to get in I would see why Dana wouldn't like that |

Brock sucks. He reminds me of that fat bully in school who would just sit on people and punch them. But when someone went toe to toe with him they'd kick his ass. |

Too bad Fedor is not in UFC because he would beat the living ish out of Brock. Fedor is the ultimate MMA fighter. _________________ |

The thing is, Brock was wailing on the back of Mir's head and the reff didn't do (bleep). |

Believe me, Frank Mir is not the best in the business. He had a good fight against an aging Nog to get the interim title, but has never ever been anywhere near the best in his weight class.
Unfortunately, several of the best heavyweights in MMA don't fight for UFC. If Lesnar ever stepped into the ring with Fedor, he'd be humiliated. I think that, deep down, Lesnar knows it too, and would duck such a fight even if it presented itself. _________________ Jeffs

Granted, but Mir was dominated nonetheless. As much as I dislike the guy, Lesnar at least had a strategy going in. Not only did it not appear like Mir did, but he made no adjustments after that awful round 1. _________________ Jeffs

I admit I do not follow MMA. However, UFC is the most noticeable company for MMA in America imo. And while all of the best may not be with that particular company, being the champ catches a lot of attention. This is very similar to his stint in WWE. WWE did not have all of the best wrestlers working for their company, but when he became the top draw for his time frame people took notice. |

Oh, I never said that Lesnar didn't know how to promote himself well. He certainly does. The 'badboy' prick persona seems to work for him. All of the fans hate him, but that only gets him more attention - which is what he really wants.
I was just responding to your comment about him rapidly taking down the best in the business. Couture was on the verge of retirement, and Mir has had far more disappointments in his career than quality wins.
It's just unfortunate that half of Sherdog's Top 10 Heavyweights (including the top 2) do not fight for UFC. _________________ Jeffs

Because Fedor is not in UFC it kind of dilutes the heavyweight championship for UFC. Fedor is clearly the best heavyweight in the world if not the best pound for pound fighter. _________________ |

I don't understand how some of you guys can be so confident that Fedor would beat Brock. Some even saying Fedor would dominate.
Do you guys realize that Brock would outweigh Fedor by about 50 lbs?
Brock just manhandled both Couture and Mir like they were his sons. Like Fedor, both of those guys have better skills than Brock, but it doesn't matter. Brock is so much bigger and stronger than they are.
I'm not completely ruling out the possibility that Fedor could pull out a victory, but at this point the favorite in that fight has to be Brock. I just cannot see how Fedor or any other heavyweight will be able to avoid being put on their back against him. And that's the beginning of the end if Brock gets on top of you.
But I will say that whoever beats Brock convincingly or knocks him out will automatically become my favorite fighter. No scratch that. If someone can somehow F5 Brock Lesnar in the octagon, he will become the most celebrated athlete of all-time. |
