It certainly seemed that way, don't know if its just that many lakers got hot or was there improved ball movement?

I think it was a combo of both. Our players definitely were hot, but I think Kobe's post game just opens up the offense more than what Bynum would bring to the table. Kobe's just on another level in terms of the post.

Of course the Lakers ran the offense better minus Benoit Bynum, who clogs the paint (taking post opportunitios AND shot attempts away from Kobe).

I rreally hope his elbow doesn't feel better by this Sunday. I wanna see Kobe go off again!

my 2 cents

I'm really surprised at how convincingly the Lakers won this game with Pau and Drew both sitting it out. Mbenga, Artest, Kobe, the bench went 15 for 31... Fisher scored efficiently for once... who didn't play good tonight? LO maybe, but we outrebounded the Grizz badly, only 8 turnovers, wow good effort top to bottom.

geez those last few minutes was poetry in motion. Whats sad is most people are going to forget about this performance by the next game and start criticizing Kobe again.

Bynum clogs it up and his defender clogs it up more.

He's still a step slower than usual. He's a slow magnet attracting extra defensive pressure close to the basket that Kobe didn't have to deal with tonight.

Bynum has played better. He is clearly only around 80-90%.

Shows much better touch than he did early in his career. Needs to improve his footwork and not settle for tough shots when he’s unable to get deep enough inside. Not bad at putting the ball on the floor once or twice. Extremely nimble and agile. Will pull off some devastating moves at times. Not very turnover prone all things considered. Great offensive rebounder. Length and agility make him a force here. Very good at moving to the open spot by the rim and catching alley oop passes for easy buckets. Gets a lot of dunks by virtue of his teammates. Sets solid screens, and rolls to the rim looking to finish. Becoming an effective offensive player, but is still only scratching the surface of what he can be.

Defense: A difference maker on the defensive end due to his ability to alter shots in the paint. Has the lateral quickness and leaping ability to be a very good shot blocker, but has the potential to be great. Will step out and hedge the pick and roll when he has to. Length and agility allows him to contest everything. A bit foul prone around the rim, but that’s to be expected from a center his age. Improving there at a rapid pace. Displays outstanding rebounding ability, and can go outside of his area to clean the glass. Has the potential to be a force as he continues to gain experience. Needs to learn to go straight up and develop the anticipation and awareness to maximize his incredible physical assets. Understanding of team defensive concepts is not very developed at this point. Lives off his instincts a little too much. Still very young here.

No doubt. Kobe just keeps on developing his game as he moves into his 30's. He works on post moves with people like Hakeem, adding to his arsenal, he knows how to take care of his body, he works long longer hours than anyone else on the team so he can stay on top of his game, as a result he's going to give us a few extra years where we'll stare in wonder at his playmaking even after the big hops are gone. This is how Kobe passes MJ some day on that all-time scoring list, and hopefully title list too.
