I think my favorite is just the regular chocolate cake. I like spongecakes and shortcakes as well. Cheesecake can taste monotonous and is extremely high in calories, but is great every now and then. Poundcake is good every once in a while, but it gets boring. I've never tried Angel food cake.

Ice Cream cake is the best, but I'm not going to count it since it isn't just cake.

While I consider it distinctly different from cake (and thus misnamed), A good NY-style cheesecake is a timeless, unbeatable dessert. High on calories? Duh, but we're not talking about healthy here. Shredded wheat has less calories than a lot of things you'd rather eat based on taste...

Because dark colors are associated with hell and the devil, whereas light colors are associated with heaven and angels.

Also, the person who came up with those names was a racist.

It was originally about night and day. People feared the night, and literally worshipped the sun.
