I like Vanilla among conventional flavors and any variation of brownie and fudge among the variants. I always consume around 1 and a quarter to 1 and a half servings.

I once would have argued for Ben and Jerry's, but since they sold to Unilever and got rid of my favorite flavor (Wavy Gravy), they are dead to me...

i just voted. i was surprised that 'other' would be so high. i always thought the majority of people like vanilla.

generally i don't eat very much ice cream but when i do like white chocolate/raspberry combos but only run into that combo w/either godiva or hagen-dasz. i tried coldstone to make my own, but the raspberry was too tart and the seeds weren't strained. not good eats.

another kind i like but don't find is ice cream w/malted milk balls. years ago thrifty drugs had a maltball chocolate ice cream that was great...and at that time really reasonable. now it's really hard to justify spending over $3 for a scoop of ice cream which is another reason why i don't go out of my way to have it.

as a side bar though, once i ate vanilla hagen-dasz i know what 'vanilla' tastes like. best vanilla ice cream out there.

Vanilla's great in the right circumstances. With pie, in a milkshake, etc. I always laugh that people think it's essentially no flavor, as if the vanilla bean is any less an addition then a (usually fake) strawberry.

I really dislike strawberry ice cream, which is ironic because I love pretty much strawberry-flavored anything.

Chocolate is what I usually get since that's available everywhere, but my ultimate favorite is ube (purple yam).

i admit i'm a snob w/certain things. if i read the ingredients on a food label and there's more then 3 syllable per ingredient, i don't buy/eat.

when you're used to real vanilla, strawberry or whatever fresh product fake stuff is pretty worthless.
