Cool to see that a Radio Show Host will now visit LG.net every once in a while

I doubt a Kings fan would get a show in LA (unlike print media, where Laker hatred is a plus), and they won't let you herd your cattle on the roads down there...

Seriously, welcome to LG!

Not cool at all.

I keep my cattle off the roads. Too dangerous, might spoil the meat.

Just yanking your chain (which I'm sure has a bell on it)

your chain has a bell

good stuff. I appreciate the knowledge on the stations quite a bit. and believe me, I've tried to get Ron to post on forums for a while....dude is too busy chatting and video texting and giving out his cell number.

You do know I'm kidding right? Happy to have you aboard. We have a lot of other tem's fans here, and for the most part, it's a good thing.

Yeah, guy. Notice my superawesome comeback. I guess deadpan humor doesnt work too well online.

As to the person who asked about Grant, sure, he can be a D. But to me, he's someone I look up to quite a bit. He's always been great to me, from when I was a young caller into his show, all the way through me learning the radio biz. Always made time, always gave me counsel when i asked.

He's a New Yorker. Abrasive is in his nature. But he's a good dude.

Haha. Please. I probably make less money than most of you.

Radio hosts are simply fans with the gift of gab. Any host who thinks otherwise needs to be kicked in the balls.

My sister and her family moved to Elk Grove in 2001 because of a job transfer. She had a Lakers license plate frame on her car and would get dirtly looks from other drivers in the Sacto area.

Got to admit that I enjoyed those couple years when the Kings and the Lakers battled it out for the West. Seems game 7 overtime win is not appriciated as much as Rob Horry's game winner game.

@Carmichael Dave

If you want quirky, you gotta hear Vic the Brick.
Just google Vick the Brick and check out his images.
His commentary is really off the wall because he goes extreme with his "zen" style fandom.

He writes Haikus about the Lakers. He gave bamboo to Phil Jackson who keeps it in the trunk of his car. He has a few catch phrases that sound stupid here but when he says them it works.
"be like the bamboo...bend, but do not break"...(gong s/fx)
Greets callers with an emphatic "FEELIN YOU!"
Great interviews with Lamar about having the MDE, Mad Def Energy. wth?
Stuff like that, I love the guy. He's weird but he has the right sensibility where even though he's a zen (bleep), he actually knows the Lakers well and his hunches are almost always spot on.

So if we take our cues from Phil Jackson, can we assume that you are "at least semi-civilized, in a redneck sort of way?"

In a civilized sort of way.

So you carry a gun to a rally, but you don't use it?

Yes. I know that may be foreign to you guys down there, but we can actually have public gatherings without gunfire. Weird, huh.

I'm actually in the NW, so I'm unfamiliar with both groups of nutjobs
