I had the game recording in my bedroom while I watched in my living room and my girl went in there and turned it off.

Does anyone know if the replay on ESPN is a full replay or do they chop it up like the NFL network does?

I must admit, I hadn't heard of him until late in the season. I just don't watch many Eastern Conference teams.

and I think it's more the magic playing poorly, than the lakers playing good. The magic are just missing shots they usually make. And because of that, they're confidence on both ends of the floor shatters.. hope our team not be too confident for game 2

Courtney Lee is a good player, but he's just brutally undersized matched up with Kobe. At least he's not a dirty scrub like Dahntay Jones.

After the game:

Lamar: You got the goods?
Vic: Yeah... I got the goods. Here's a small sample for your compliance.
Lamar: Oh, that's good candy...
Vic: Give me a full interview and you can have the whole bag.
Lamar: You got it.

Can you guys imagine Kobe like Barkley at Power Forward? I bet he would still be HOF caliber...

At the other Forward... Out of Lower Merion High School, 6'6 250 pounds, KOBE BRYANT. He would put up at least 25/12 with a great jumper, bank shot, and fadeaway.

By the way, is Barkley 6'6 or 6'4? Or is he 6'6 with shoes and 6'4 without? What about Wallace? 6'9 with shoes and 6'7.5 without?

Barkley:

Six-four without shoes.

Three-hundred seventy-nine pounds before dinner.

Forty-four IQ while inebriated.

Bynum got called for some dubious fouls this game. He HAS to play physical with Dwight Howard, like he did tonight.

Oh, but since they list height WITH shoes, he is really 6'6. Kobe is really around 6'4 and 3 quarters without shoes. Dang, why do Barkley and Ben Wallace try to make themselves sound smaller than they really are? To aggrandize their achievements?

NO ONE on the Magic can contain the guy in the least bit 1 on 1. Mamba is going to see a lot of double teams even before Gasol comes up to set a pick. Everyone else has to be ready to knock down open looks.

How does a team that chucks 3s the entire game shoot almost twice as many FT attempts as the home team?

I guess Orlando was twice as aggressive, huh?

That thumb injury certainly didn't help matters last season when he shot flat for awhile.

Just imagine if Kobe will get that thumb surgery done this off-season and come back fully healthy.... and if the refs would actually give the team a call.

Tonight was way too easy -

I figured our easiest game to win would be tonight, and the toughest s/b Game 3 after our long flight and change in time zone.

But I may have to give Kobe the edge because he's doing it in an era that allows zone defense.

Kobe actually patterned much of his post game after Hakeem. With this current lineup, Lakers can invert the triangle and have him operate a lot like a 4, where he can show that off.

Nah, Kobe is NightWing if anybody. (Or Batman.) Shaq was Batman, Kobe was Robin, and now Kobe is NightWing.
