The key to victory: quick time-outs! History has led me to believe that this will not happen. |

You know, all we have to do is play within ourselves, Melo can easily self destruct as well has Kenyon Martin. All we have to do is play smart. |

Yea, pretty much all casual sports fans that I know are already saying the fix is in. And those are just your average Joe's. Us hardcore sports fans know there is something fishy going on too.
All I want is a fairly called game. Whether or not, either team wins or loses by 15 or 20. I want an evenly called game. Stern and his gambling referees cut the bull (bleep) already! _________________ 15th thru 20th rings!!!! |

WOW that is really cutting it close. All of our games so far Vegas odds show a really close game. That means that the NBA is gonna keep this series real close. No blowouts in this series |

This might mean the refs are putting their money on the Lakers.
Lakers always bounce back after a loss. They don't play hard unless its urgent. |

I hope this is a reverse jinx. There is no way the Nuggets beat the Lakers by 21 or 30 that another poster predicted. |

Denver 105 Lakers 82
I'm telling you folks this team is finished. We will win game 5 back in L.A but by then its all window dressing. Time to start looking at the offseason. |

Celtics never lost a game 7 at home...until this year. Hopefully we don't suffer the same fate as the C's.
1. Bynum has to get a good start to stay in the game mentally and to let PJ keep him in the game.
2. Fish will start but hopefully will get less minutes. Brown and Farmar need to play more.
3. The team needs to stay agressive and not the let physical play of the Nuggets bother them. _________________ Darvin Ham is an idiot! |

Quote: | Saturday Shootaround Notes
We had the notepad out subsequent to L.A.’s Saturday morning shootaround in Denver. Here’s what we learned:
- Andrew Bynum expressed his excitement about playing and, as expected, denied any ill will for a lack of playing time in the second half when pushed by various reporters. Clearly he’d prefer to be playing more minutes, like any player, but he says his focus is on maintaining a good attitude and contributing as much as he can.
- Phil Jackson said that he thought there’s far too much focus being placed on Bynum, whom he said still lacks the conditioning to play for long stretches. On Friday, Jackson also cited Denver’s small lineup as a reason his big center didn’t get many minutes.
- Luke Walton, while icing down, joked around with Adam Morrison and Pau Gasol for a good five minutes. The mood, in general, was quite light.
- The team watched film for a good hour before taking the court.
- Kobe Bryant held court with reporters for a good seven minutes or so, revealing his awareness of how tough the Pepsi Center will be, but expressing confidence for the NBA’s best road team.
- The primary goal for the Lakers in Colorado is to win both games, not just the split that would return home court advantage.
- Assistant coach Brian Shaw talked about how much more difficult it is approaching a game as a coach than as a player, because as a player one feels an element of control that can be executed personally, while a coach has nothing but a clipboard and his voice. |

I think the Lakers will win this game. Too much emphasis is put on homecourt advantage....you rely on it so much that it ends up being a detriment. Denver is hostile, but still doesn't compare to Utah or Boston. It's vital for the Lakers to get off to a quick start. _________________ The killer in me is the killer in you! |

I had a dream that Pierce was playing on the court and suddenly his right arm fell off and was bleeding perniciously - it felt so real too ! |

Wrong! They were 17-3 in game 7 at home prior to Orlando beating them. They lost game 7 in '73 Knicks, '82 76ers and '05 Pacers. |

Play Bynum 30+ minutes, get Pau and Bynum a combined 30 shots down low.
Kobe needs to be assertive, but also look to the big guys down low...Kobe needs to mix it up,attack the rim,get to the line, get shots from the mid range area.
Beat the hell out of them with a large dose of KGB.....50 shots at the very least for KGB....
Board, and get physical! get back on "D"...
lakers 108
Nuggets 104

Denver has proven that they have no chance to stop Kobe but Pau has got to get going. Phil's ego is so massive that it's hurting the team. The minute Fisher makes a boneheaded play, yank his ass. Let Drew play!! Odom hasn't done (bleep) this series and Luke and Sasha don't even deserve to be in the NBA the way they are playing....well, I take that back....Sasha has been pretty good at harrassing JR Smith....Luke, I am not sure of his purpose. _________________ The killer in me is the killer in you! |
