All NBA refs can get (bleep) BENT. That is all I have to say.

Gasol sets weak screens and Kobe is pretty much faced with a double team when that happens... wow at Phil benching Bynum like that...

Gasol has shown time and again that he cannot be trusted at the free throw line in the 4th... But, lakers pretty much took Kobe out of the offense for almost the entire 4th quarter and decided to force feed Gasol.. spent most of the shot clock trying to do that and when he couldn't get good position, the ball was in wrong hands.. Ariza most of the time. Offense cannot be Kobecentric but, he needs to be the focal point...let him make the decisions. Get him open with double screens off the ball.

and Fisher? please!

NBA refs will always suck. The problem is the Laker players once again did not step up. Outside of Kobe, and that brief 3-pointer by Brown to get them within 1, who on the Lakers hit a big shot? Where was Pau in the post? Where was Odom?

Laker defense was also dreadful. Despite all the poor foul calls going against them, why was no one fighting for key rebounds? Nene shoots a short jumper in the post. Why was Odom trying to block that shot from where he was instead of boxing out Martin, allowing him to get the put back. And that was after Billups gave the ball up and NO Laker tried to get it.

Terrible execution by the Lakers in the fourth. Pau was weak-minded offensively and the Lakers had no reliable 3rd option. These players must step up their game. Too many poor performances for this team to overcome to be champs.

I agree... I'm not one of those fans that likes to see a "good game" for the sake of competitiveness. Its only a good game if at the end of the day the Lakers come out with the win!

These guys are up there with one of the worst good regular season Laker teams ever--definitely worse than last year's team. No sleepwalking or underestimating a weak opponent this time, they wanted to win but Denver came in and took it. I bet Denver rides this high into game 3 for the win, with it coming down to an all or nothing game 4 for our survival. But man, it would be nice if the refs call it there like they did these last two game where the home team gets zero advantage.

This is actually not true. Gasol was 26/29 this season in the clutch this season. However, he has came up 0/2 on a trip in each of the first two games of this series. It should be noted in both cases he then came back and hit his free throws on the next trip. But those empty trips hurt, as they are momentum killers.

Damn. That's what I was afraid of.

I'm really worried... playing in Denver will be tough and who knows which Lakers team will show up.

Lakers bench & secondary players haven't been shooting well on the road either, while Denver's bench & secondary players lit it up at home in their other playoff games
2 games at Staples were both really tight - I think the Lakers need a serious attitude adjustment or it's gonna be blowouts in Denver
