Give some props to the Utah Jazz. They didn't quit. And thankfully they didn't realize Price could score.
The Lakers won. Chances are we will lost another big lead. I would rather be ahead most of the game than fighting from behind every game.
If we continue losing big leads but win series 4-1, I am completely fine with that. I will gladly watch the Lakers hoist a ring! _________________ This Laker Organization has not yet hit bottom. It is moving there quickly, and I suspect this year we will see zero talent coming to the Lakers and we will trade away Kuz and BI for old vets in the hopes of giving LeBronze some scapegoats. |

It's the way the Lakers blow leads that's disconcerting. They turn the ball over carelessly, play little defense, don't go after rebounds, and allow the other team back in the game very quickly. Lakers don't even make their opponents work for those shots to get back in the game. A lot of work to be done on this team for the next round. I hope Bynum will show up for it. As active as Sasha was tonight on rebounds and loose balls, he was dreadful once again shooting the ball, rushing almost all of his shots. And why is he putting up 10 shots? |

Milsap got the Jazz back into the game. They never quit. and continue to punish the lakers on the offensive rebounds. Thats how we will lose games. |

Jazz are classless. Should have played Price more, too bad. Hope Portland takes it to 7 games. _________________ We only celebrate championships.

The score of the Denver loss was 90-79. Pau had 18 and 10 on 6/13 shooting. Kobe was 10/31 shooting. Lamar was 5/17 shooting. As a team, the Lakers shot 29%. That game was also on a back to back. _________________ "Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships."

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope the team finally learns that they can't play half-assed at any time in the playoffs. You fall off your chair if you do everything half-assed. |

Barkley picks the Rockets to win the next series. Good, his predictions are terrible. |

Did he really say that? I thought they were just talking about if Portland had a chance for coming back and he just said the Rockets would take care of business. Wasn't really paying attention though. |

That's a good call. He's a punk @$$ elf, but he showed more heart out there than most the Jazz. He was working his butt off.
It's going to be fun beating him and Utah next season.
NEXT SEASON Elf.

Sister Golden Hair wrote: | Very disappointing finish. Same bad habits as they've shown most of the year. This team is what it is. I don't think they are suddenly going to be able to hold onto leads. Better hope they run up really huge leads in the games to come and that their opponennts just run out of time.
Very, very disappointing.
And this is the play-offs, so there really are no excuses.

I would agree with you that the nature of our team is what it is if it wasn't for the 4 games this year against Cleveland and Boston. We fought back from deficits. We held leads. We matched their intensity for 48 minutes. We hustled. Pau played angry. We won.
We can do it. It's just rare. We have to be playing the best of the best for us to bring that level of focus. I'll give you this: it is a weakness. |
