stop blaming the refs without any sort of evidence pls

lakers should win this

The evidence is incontrovertible, existing in game tapes, understood by knowing the "rules", and observing radical inconsistencies of how they're APPLIED to each respective team in given situations and locations.

Most people are designed to recognize patterns, I suppose some don't. The complaints about officiating are well substantiated due to patterns being recognized.

The bottom line is it's impossible to play "D" if they don't let you, and it's very hard to score if they "LET" the other team play all the D they want, even though much of it clearly violates the rules.

If you can't see that then it's probably because you don't want to acknowledge it. Maybe you think we should be able to overcome those odds? Well, it all depends on how hot we are vs. how bad the officiating is I guess. We'll just have to wait and see.

XD haha yeah I do think they overcome the odds. Lakers are so good that they can beat 8 vs 5 anyday, so I don't worry

Kirilenko to start at SF over Korver as well.

LA is going to be camped in the paint roasting marshmellows to start the game.

I can't believe you posted this. I literally (bleep) hate you for showing highlights of that game.

Utah's Okur will miss Game 3 against Lakers
The Jazz center did not practice this morning in Salt Lake City and will be out for the third consecutive playoff game.
Associated Press

10:52 AM PDT, April 23, 2009

SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah center Mehmet Okur will miss Game 3 against the Los Angeles Lakers tonight with a hamstring injury that has kept him from playing in the first-round playoff series.

The Jazz said Okur did not participate in the team shootaround this morning and would not play later when the Jazz host the Lakers, who lead the best-of-seven series 2-0.

Okur is Utah's second-leading scorer at 17 points per game and third on the Jazz in rebounding. He has not played since straining his right hamstring last Monday in a regular season game against the Clippers.

It stinks to see key players have to sit out even in a playoff series against our team. At least it isn't serious.

You kidding me? If it's not in the FINALS I can care less. The easier the road to the finals the better

Wouldn't you rather see this series end asap?

Yet another excuse for Jazz fans to use when they lose this series.

Lakers better not lose tonight then... It'll get tougher if/when Okur returns. They've got to take care of business tonight and cut their hearts out.

Nope, not kidding at all. We would beat the Jazz either way. The Lakers can beat the Jazz in 4 with or without this guy. They play all year to get into the playoffs and then he has to ride the pine in a suit. Injuries are a part of the game but so is entertainment. Its nice to see two teams go at it full force with all components in tact.

Either the Lakers end the Jazz's season tonight or the Jazz continue their journey. Either way, the game will be intense. NBA Playoffs... Where Amazing Happens.

As far as playoff hamstrings go, Okur could miss the rest of the series, Chauncey could tear his and Roy's could shred 'em in the both legs and the Lakers still wouldn't be repaid by the gods for their 1989 hamstring debts.

When they announce it this early, I always worry that the other team will try to pull a Willis Reed on us.

I doubt any of the Western teams or Boston had sympathy for Bynum's injury last season.

Probably not. And that matters to me because...why?

Why do I get the feeling the Lakers are going to drop this game? Eww BOO ME, BOO ME! Sorry. I pray that I'm wrong.

Mehmet Okur's gonna be sitting this game out as well; we better take advantage of that opportunity, and every opportunity that comes along our way.

I hope Phil shortens the substitution, meaning if Fisher is having a bad game, sub Shannon in ASAP and don't take him out until fatigue becomes a factor on his play.

Go Lakers!

I don't think any of the other team's fans wanted the Lakers at full capacity.
