Really don't care what happens in the east. Don't need anyone's help.

I have confidence in the Lakers to beat anyone if they play their best.

Snowball's chance in hell of that happening. Detroit collectively gave up on themselves earlier in the season, and I'm sure the Iverson "injury" has made it worse. Having Rasheed Wallace as one of your character guys is not a good thing when the situation deteriorates.

Anybody think the Pistons would have a better chance against the Cavs if they played ball with Iverson and let him start and make him the 1st option?

Yes I know they started to lose alot of games since playing Iverson but what if they kept with it and made the playoffs as the eighth seed?

His talent and ability to create his own shot would help in the playoffs, and his ability to draw fouls is still better than any Piston, but yeah team chemistry might be destroyed a bit, but you only play 6-7 guys in the playoffs anyway so they would be forced to play with him

Kind of the same question with Houston. With McGrady out, they have been on a tear and won so many games, but I bet if he were healthy or relatively healthy, he would still be able to contribute and he could maybe even win a few playoff games for him

What do you guys think about Iverson or McGrady? In Playoffs, better or worse with them? Key word being Playoffs, I know they're worse in the regular season

Besides the Lakers' series, most interesting 1st round matchups:

West Side:
Houston/Portland. Key matchups:
Yao v. Przybilla/Oden. Yao should have his way against either to be honest.
Artest or Battier v. Roy/Outlaw. The Rox have two perimeter defenders to throw at Roy and Outlaw.
I like Rox in this one.

Denver v. NO. Key matchups
CP3 (new school) v. Billups (old school). Will CP3 clown Billups like he clowned HOFer Kidd last year?
Want to be thugs - KMart v. West. I think West gets the best of KMart in this one.
Bonus question: Is Chandler healthy enough to give them any good minutes? He could be the difference.
I like Denver in this one.

East Coast:
Chicago v. Boston. Key matchups:
Damn I wish Deng was playing. Rose v. Rondo. This will be a doozie. Love both players - Rondo has experience so I'll give him the edge. Hinrich will be key against Rondo - who I think will get in foul trouble - also against Ray Allen
Paulina v. Salmons - experience advantage for Paulina. I think Salmons will more than hold his own though.
Ray Ray v. Ben Gordon. Experience is on Ray's side.
TT v. Big Baby - I think TT needs to dominate this matchup. Brad Miller (instigator) v. Perkins (hot head) - this matchup will be fun to watch! Bottom line, Boston just has too much experience and I expect them to prevail. Damn I wish Deng was playing! Perfect opportunity for a team to go from champion* to 1st round fodder the next year. How Shaq like.

Other series are meh.

Spurs, really? I'm pulling for all road teams: Chi, Det, Dal, Hou.

I don't care who we play in any round except the Finals. If Cleveland makes it there, they are going to bring the refs with them. Stern wants to immortalize the "chosen one". I don't want my Lakers to be the victims of that crap.

I'll believe Garnett's out for the season when I see it. Doc and the team may be doing their imitation of Zen Phil. If they are I want to meet their acting coach.

Tyrus Thomas and Big Baby already doing the wrestle-each-other-with-both-hands-in-the-air thing. One of them is getting T'd up before the night is over.

First play of the Celtics-Bulls game, moron Boston fans chant "Rondo's Better". Rose throws an alley-oop to Noah, crowd silenced.

LOL

That second alley oop Rose to Noah near the end of the second quarter was sick. Bulls cant stop Rondo from getting to the rim for easy layups so far right now.

Yea that was sick. BTW does anyone else think Marbury and Rose look like brothers?

Too bad Farmar doesn't play Rose-esque offense.
