The Pups are somewhere around 11-3 in January. I hope our players don't look past them and start this roadie on a high note. Considering they have 2 brutal games at the end (Boston, Cleveland), I'd be thrilled to see them sweep the "scrubs".

Go Lakers!!!

I might even wake up for this, 2:00 AM is acceptable.

The Celts and Cavs are too far ahead to think of now...

The Wolves have been playing top 5 ball for more than a month, they were 4-23, and have gone 12-5 since that start, the lakers must know this,it's not like a 4 game win streak, this team has grown up quicker than most predicted.

Bynum needs to keep coming strong,26 and 14 with 65% shooting in the last 4 have been incredible, but watchout for Jefferson,he has been averaging 25+ with 11 boards in the last 7...

Kobe 30,7,7
Bynum 20 and 12
Pau 17 and 9

Go through Kobe, and get it down low to the big fellas, use your strengths,go to them over and over again....Why do anything else....Heavy dose of KGB....

Lakers 105
Pups 99

The Lakers better play hard. The Wolves are no longer pushovers.

And even with pushovers, we seem to have the knack of playing down to our competition.

Kevin Love has really come on last 10 games - and a pissed off Al Jefferson for not getting the all-star nod - this will be a tough match-up for Lakers.

Need to play some real good interior Defense to win - a real weakness of late.

and dont forget that KLOVE was snubbed for the rookie team. not a team to be taken lightly.

but off a tough loss vs. charlotte i see the lakers taking care of business with a huge game from pau. 32 pts 14 rebs 6 asts.

McCants just broke up with his girl. Hopefully that keeps his shot off target.

Aside from Al-Jeff and KLove, gotta watch out for Gomes, Bassy, Carney and Craig Smith - they've all been playing very effective ball lately.

Mike Miller has been in a bit of a slump lately, so you just KNOW he's gonna wake up against us, as per usual.

Oh yeah and...

This game worries me, definitely one of the toughest road games of the year considering how hot the Timberwolves are.

Go Lakers!

Ariza cleared for tonight:

Quote:
Lakers forward Trevor Ariza, who had been suffering from concussion symptoms following a Tuesday night collision against the Bobcats, has been cleared to play in Friday night’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Ariza received a CAT scan and an MRI Friday morning in Minneapolis, and both came back negative. This is certainly good news for the Lakers, as prior to Friday morning, Ariza had not yet been cleared to practice.

Since I doubt most of us watch Wolves games, will post their players averages and numbers, to get an idea of what type of team they are.

Quote:
Starters
Center: Al Jefferson 22.7 ppg 49.2 FG% 10.5 rpg 1.6 bpg
Forward: Craig Smith 9.2 ppg 54 FG%
Forward: Ryan Gomes 11.1 ppg 39.4 3p%
Guard: Randy Foye 15.7 ppg 42.4 FG%. 1.3 3 pointers made a game 4.8 apg 1.1 spg
Guard: Sebastien Telfair 7.7 ppg 34.5 FG% 4.3 apg 1.0 spg

Bench
F/C: Kevin Love 9.0 ppg 44.2 FG% 8.4 rpg
Forward: Rodney Carney 5.4 ppg 38 3p%
G/F: Mike Miller 8.8 ppg 44.8 FG% 5.8 rpg 3.6 apg

They've played better in recent weeks, under Frankestein.

honestly, against teams like this, i hope the lakers don't double team and leave the 3 point shooters wide open

if andrew can keep al jefferson in check, lakers win by blow out

We better come out strong. We can't afford to losing games to teams that we should be blowing out.

lets go lakers....give us a good game tonight, i have a tough weekend ahead of me and a win will make it a little easier....although jefferson might be heated for not making the allstar game
