This was the second quote of this thread.

Almost came true....

Still, a Laker victory.

couldnt this wait for tomorrow? sheesh we just won...

You're right. Didn't mean to spoil the party.

I don't expect Kobe to miss that many easy shots tomorrow. Expect a big win tomorrow.

We have wings to close...they are just both hurt now (T-Mac and Artest).

Granted, neither one is in the class of Kobe when it comes to closing a game.

Get in line, man!

It's almost impossible to stay mad at him, because he almost always delivers when it matters. I still can't believe how he has the confidence to shoot the ball when he's 10-28 just a few minutes before.

Clutch!

Honestly - you guys should do what I've always thought the best way to win with Yao is.

Get athletic shooters around him. Instead of T-Mac and Artest who are 1 on 1 guys, do what Orlando has with Dwight.

Rashard, Turk - both guys that can spread the floor.

When you guys play your best, it's when the team is shooting well from outside and Yao is being the focal point inside. I also like your PF rotation, some tough guys in there.

A shake up with the PG/SF spots, and this team is Orlando West, IMO. Yao is a heck of a player, I have always been a fan. Never been a fan of T-Mac or Artest though.

Lakers showing heart and toughness. Haven't played our best ball and we are still beating teams. Mark of a champion.

Amen. I don't think people value these gutty wins as much as they should. Rather, they think of it as we played badly and that we need to improve. That may be the case, but like you said, you aren't going to have your A-game every night and if you can still beat teams on your B and C-games, that says a lot about the team's character and I think it will pay off in the playoffs.

This is a good day for me. Yao has a huge night with 19 pts and 17 rebounds and the Rockets still lose!

PG is our biggest killer. Alston is lucky to shoot in the low 40%....pathetic.

D.Fisher (guard you know will make his open shots) is really undervalued around these parts.........

Just checked Kobe's shot chart. He was 8-16 from outside the paint and 5-16 from inside the paint. Don't tell me he didn't get fouled on at least a couple of those 11 misses?

Aww, come on now man....tonight's game really isn't the time to say Kobe, or your team, didn't get enough foul calls. Kobe took more FT's than our entire team.......

Not only was Kobe missing shots he normally makes, Gasol was as well along with Andrew.. Plus we always play better against the elite team.. I fully expect us to beat the Spurs tomorrow.. I expect another good game decided in the final few minutes though...
