The bench caused this meltdown. The starters sat, thinking it was rest time for the night, Lakers were up 19 and the bench just blew it.

i sincerely hope phil uses this road trip to point out everything wrong with our team right now. we've bought into our own hype and have stopped playing hard on the defensive end of the floor. they don't get their hands up to challenge shots, and nobody bothers to box out for the defensive boards.

the only good thing about this road trip is that our coaching staff has a lot of ammunition to point out everything we need to do differently.

So we gave up:

34pts in the 4th
16 Offensive Rebs
47 Total Rebs
104 Total Pts
and a potential game winning shot

TO A 3 WIN TEAM!!!!

Exactly why the Celts are gonna come in to Staples and beat our ass!!!

This team is MENTALLY weak and this is just another example...beleive it or not we have a LONG way to go to beat the Celts especially without home court...

F*&k it is so frustrating!!!

Credit the Wizards defense. Nobody else on the Lakers could get off a shot down the stretch.

Wizards D had very little to do with that.

I'm not looking forward to what Cleveland might, and Boston most likely, will do to us. We've definitely got that Suns/Mavs regular season team look to us.

Glad we got the win, but this game was ugly. At least we can get W's when Kobe is off and Lamar is having a bad night. A year ago, that was a far more dicey proposition.

Our defense was pathetic, especially when we allowed that run. I screamed when Kobe missed, and I was really scared when Caron jacked up that three. Luckily he missed, otherwise this game would be a loss.

As what John Ireland reported after the game all the Lakers acted like they lost the game.
Real quiet in the locker room.
An Phil was planning on giving the day off tomorrow before the game against the Bucks on Sunday .
Now after this horrible closing performance they are going to practice.

Phil is a mastermind at fixing problems but this 4th quarter wear down crap is getting old.

FIX IT PHIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be fair, Kobe said the same thing.
